Bulls**t Johnson won’t go. His cronies need to believe that all is lost if he doesn’t leave before he goes and not 1 second before. That won’t happen anytime soon.

you would think processing centres at 1 & 2 would be sensible and easy. The French have even offered the UK premises in Calais - but the UK government have decided they don't want it. That wouldn't make for the political grandstanding to the right that is required by Boris.

We should be able to establish who people are even without paperwork with cooperation from other countries or using available systems?

Surely the individual wishing to gain entry would co-operate once outside of the traffickers' "hands"?

Point 2 is to reinforce Point 1.

Point 3 is the stick to go with the carrot.

So if we refuse entry to the Uk when we are in France we send them to the Uk then we fight a massive legal battle then charter a plane with 4 people on it and send them to Rwanda. That sounds far more sensible than just declining them their application and showing them the door.
 
There is the thorny part - how to deal with "undesirables" (for lack of a better term).
Can`t return them to France/EU they don`t want them.
Can`t/don't want to let them in so shipping them to Rwanda after a brief period of hospitality in a facility.

And let in those who abide by and cooperate with the process to live a better life in the UK.
 
We’re nearly in agreement here. If the failed asylum seekers haven’t actually left France then they wouldn’t actually be our problem. Hence why doing in France is the big win.


If only bs Johnson could grasp the concept.

The world isn't as binary as you think it is. One can dislike Labour whilst also disliking the Conservatives. Mad, isn't it!

Its not "all rubbish" but the Government and opposition aren`t exactly performing well.

Locally we have some excellent Labour councillors who try their hardest but aren`t "in" the City Council (Lab) chumocracy so get very little for a lot of work.

Our MP`s are AWOL - one on mat leave and one is a convicted criminal.

You may find 40% of politicians (all parties) are good to excellent and the others are just riding the coat tails.
