So the home office review into Borders & Immigration doesn't make pretty reading. No interpreters/dual speakers so communication done via "speaking English slowly" and getting ages by pointing at numbers on bits of card.

Well, we wound back our approach to international cooperation by a few decades, so its only appropriate that we use 1960s tech for our border controls.
