New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

There does seem to be strong links between FoSB and the local Green Party especially with Cllr McIvor the spokesperson for FoSB and ex Cllr Campbell standing as a green party candidate last year. (Wonder if the green party will try their Kidlington resident trojan horse tactic again to get objectors onto CDC?).

Add to that votes objecting to the stadium by Green Party councillors on KPC as noted in their minutes and it's clear the entire Oxfordshire Green Party has fettered their position and they Green councillors shouldn't sit on the planning committee for the stadium application.
Wasn't it Trevor Campbell ( FoSB) who seconded/ sponsored a certain Green councillor , the same green Councillor who denies any links with FoSB, in his candidacy as a Green in the local elections last year?

That's another link between FoSB and Green Party councillors in the Kidlington area

how frequently does CDC update comments on the Stadium planning application? - It doesn't appear to have had any new ones for two days

That's just gone up today, the responder submitting four separate documents, most of which are "what if" so will not be given much weight by the planning officer.

Probably needed to review his submissions as one document contradicts another - "At no point in the intervening 23 years have OUFC commanded a capacity crowd. Highest ever attendance was just 12,243", inferring that we don't need a 16,000 seat stadium and then "Kidlington roads are already congested, where is the Air Quality Management Plan that supports the addition of up to 16,000 additional cars on match days" (or 18,000 as he states earlier).

Quite amusing when his previous paragraph is concerned with the pedestrians crossing the road "The plan to install a crossing over Frieze Way clearly recognises that this will be the case. Supporters travelling by train or bus, would have no other reason to cross Frieze Way into Kidlington" which doesn't sit well with the claim that "there is no evidence that supporters (that don’t use public transport to attend Kassam), will suddenly change because of this diversion to Kidlington".

Ah well.

I do find it strange that the comments have dried up when I know of 4 people who have added there comment 3 days ago but as yet not been posted on the portal I know I'm always very skeptical but it's as if they don't want to put up any more support comments up and just picking the objections out

Why on match days are all roads leading to and from the Kassam loaded with parked cars?

Erm well let's see -

1) public transport is poor so people use cars
2) there's a bowling alley and entertainment using the same area
3) there's only one road to access the stadium

Also if we don't get enough supporters to justify a new stadium, why are the roads around the current stadium jam packed?

Highest ever attendance was 12,243

The stadium capacity is 12,500 with 250 or so seats given over to segregation.

perfectly functioning 23 year old concrete stadium

We're lucky to get running water on matchdays, it's been neglected and needs A LOT of money to fix

Didn't take a lot of researching to determine the origin of this borderline racist and, without doubt, lacking in factual information document. The signatory is, if indeed he did sign this, the company director of CLS Energy Ltd. A company that specialises in advising on sustainability and energy usage, oh, the irony!
Further, anyone who considers the line "wealthy Indonesian Palm tree plantation owner" suitable for use within a publicly viewed platform should really take time to consider their position in society. I wonder what his clients, many stated as from overseas, would make of his lack of judgement?

Anyone who has submitted comments and are not showing on the planning portal should fill out an online form and ask why they aren't.

What a load of absolutely pompous, erroneous, crap that is.

Anyone who signs off as "Kidlington resident and company director" is clearly too full of their own self importance to even consider the thoughts, dreams, and aspirations of others. That those others happen to be in the majority will not matter to this guy, as he obviously thinks his, and only his, view matters. Typical of the Foolish Oxford Snobs & Busybodies.
