New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

If they have been agreed why wouldn't they be signed?
Gives them options to delay things further if nothing, technically, has been signed. You don't get the keys to your new house until you have a mortgage in place and everything is signed off.

While I get what you mean. The heads of terms aren't legally binding. The council and the club agreeing the heads of terms is the progress we needed at this time.

There is still a long way to go and if you don’t think he’s in the ear of the Lib Dem councillors on the CDC Planning committee, think again

Nothing has changed since last week, we still have to make sure the general public know that a Lib Dem’s/Greens vote is an anti stadium vote.

Keep writing those e mails and tell friends and family especially in the CDC area to vote for councillors who are friends of the stadium

My take on recent events that repeats some issues Ive previosly posted.

A few key figures were trying to play both sides by sucking up to both Oxford United supporters in public and the North Oxford set in private. Whilst the HoTs have limited legal value, they do present a commitment between OCC and Oxford United to proceed if/when planning is agreed. That amounted to support the project in the eyes of FoSB and others and therefore the plan was to delay and disrupt anything until after the planning portal had closed, and local elections had taken place. Then a favourable outcome in the elections would empower the Lib Dems/Greens to look to reverse the lease agreement, or to keep holding it up.

The club have been working hard on various elements of the stadium project, but became frustrated at the deliberate blocking by Mr Levy in particular. Consequently they dropped a statement regarding the HoTs not being agreed to stop others from hiding this away.

We have then seen a campaign on social media that was bringing far too much heat on the Lib Dems and has meant that rather than expecting them to gain greater control of councils and win parliamentary seats, they are now worried about losing seats and thousands of votes. This was made significantly worse when senior party figures became aware of the links with Green Party representatives and the questions were rightly asked as to why individuals were putting private agreements ahead of national directions. I believe that instructions were given to insure that HoTs were signed off last week, but even then it was delayed until today in a final act of rebellion.

None of this has gone unnoticed and I think we will see a council reshuffle and clipping of wings for a few after the local election. Importantly this has also brought the stadium to the attention of senior Lib Dems who are more sensitive to our needs that local representatives, and that can only help on the back of support in general from the Tories and Labour.

As others have said, HoTs is only one small step and there are many bigger ones to come. Recent weeks has shown once again that we must challenge misinformation and hypocrisy, but we must do it in a responsible and respectful way. Certain councillors think that all football fans are thick oiks who can't string a sentence together. They absolutely hate it when they are beaten by sound reason and arguments, especially when it shows them as the disrespectful and idiotic ones.

The next step must be the local elections and keeping the pressure on with those who were actively looking to bring our club down. Keep emailing local councillors and telling them on the doorstep what our vote means. We have an incredibly strong voice and we need to keep having it heard.

I'm not fooled at all. He's shown he is anti stadium on the doorstep.

Do not vote Lib Dem or Green.
