Home Match Day Thread 14/8/2021 - L1: OUFC v Charlton Athletic

Brilliant. Bloody brilliant. Really good game that, and some of our play was sublime. Winnall did good, CamBran and Gorrin won the midfield, and the back four were all fantastic. Ryan Williams was superb in fullback, which is going to give KR something pleasant to dream about tonight. Very good 3 points.

And the crowd sounded excellent on RadOx. Well done all you that were there.

πŸ˜…

Got through it. We need to find a proper defence from somewhere though. Thorniley can’t do it all on his own.

Getting a good feeling about this season. By christ, it'd be a lot better if we sorted someone new for the defence, mind.

Well played lads.

Don't let anyone play down that performance or result. That's one of the best performances I've seen from a KR team.

We started with a makeshift defence, Williams was MOTM with Thorniley, but McNally slotted in like he was an experienced League One centre half.

Going forward, Brannagan bossed the midfield with the security of Gorrin. The forwards and midfield all linked up with lovely passing, same for the subs who came on.

Oh and how good is Seddon?! Oozes class.

Get the beers in, roll on the next one.

I really liked our strength and commitment. Even Henry looked strong on the ball and in the challenge. Cam Bran was getting the ball forward not always backwards, and was chasing the ball out of defence at speed. Thornily has super quick reflexes which resulted in some excellent clearances. I’m so pleased that the fans in the ground got such a good match for the first one back.

Good result today against a decent Charlton side, that will defo trouble the top six this season. Onwards and upwards.

That’s a fantastic win, especially given the defensive crisis that seems to have arrived.

Would be good to get a few words from those who were there later on. Key players, standout moments etc. Have to wait until Tuesday for a home game and, more importantly, sausage and chips beforehand.

Cracking result that shame the attackers forgot to shoot sometimes but over the moon with that and was so good to be back in the stafium charlton were poor imo ref let’s not go there

Wtf is that line up no Taylor cmon winnall can’t move let alone score ffs why no Holland
Winnall did well I will admit he didn’t offer much goal threat but he moved well worked the CBs and actually looked like a decent lg1 target player

Spot on. Well done to our "makeshift" team. Maybe versatility and adaptability will be the difference this year[emoji848]

I could almost hear the goals go in from Crantock[emoji16]

"even Henry" - shocking how one of our talismanic players gets treated with so little respect - like he has been so lightweight over more than 150 performances - total lack of respect

In bloody Scotland on hoils!!!
So missed game , But come on lads! Great result! Beers at 6pm please !
