Very good, very nice. Add a left sided attacker, plus a striker and we will have had a decent window.

I’d say it’s been a fantastic window. Exceeded my expectations. The turnaround from last years horror show is nothing short of remarkable.

I honestly thought it was going to take a few windows to repair all the damage and devastation.

If we secure Leigh and with Negru doing so well...... do we have to may centre backs now?
(Can't play Leigh and Brown in the same position and Brown is better in the middle)

Who would you sell to either mop-up some losses on the P&L (low ambition) or to financially enable a further addition to squad?

It's about having competition for places in the past if one of the beck four got injured we would have to play players out of position to cover so I believe we'd have Long, Stevens (RB,RWB) Moore, thorniley, Negru (CB) Brown, Leigh (LB,LWB ) that's good competition especially with Brown and Long being able to cover (CB). aswel

I think it's likely that we'll soon switch to 3 at the back in which case it's probably Moore, Negru, Brown, Thorniley and Long competing with a couple able to play full back if we switch to a 4 mid game. Rather than too many I'd say that's good competition and means we don't have to rip our defence up if there's a single injury like we have the last couple of years.

Can’t see us switching from a back 4 anytime soon unless results turn

Love this club.

We have six defenders. One is injured. We might play five at the back.

We are miles away from needing to offload defenders.

If anything I'd like an additional centre back bought in!

Come on now, we might soon have two left backs (sort of) and two right backs. Four fullbacks! Four! We can’t carry those kind of insane numbers, we’re not Chelsea
I used to love watching people say that we couldn’t afford to have more than five or six defenders, and that we couldn’t carry two full backs on each side anyway because the second one would never sign as they wouldn’t want to be a backup. Meanwhile we would be carrying seven central midfielders and eight or nine forwards/wingers.

The original “Operation Save Big Dog”.

To or from a back 4? We've started every game with one so far but not finished that way. There might be no rush to do it but it was his preferred formation before and I'd suggest the main reason we haven't seen it so far is that we've got no one who can properly play the left wing back role, with Leigh in the building we will.

He had his success with 3 at the back before but we've not had the players to play it since he's been here. It's also handy to have the flexibility of having a few different systems that the team are comfortable with so I doubt we'll see either completely consigned to history going forwards.

Very curious that, if Leigh signs, we seem to know about signings days in advance. Is this just the nature of the beast these days? I don't yearn for the Robinson days but I did like how we would sometimes get a signing that we hadn't known was coming in.

Yep, I too yearn for the days of Tyler Smith and Ateef Konate rocking up here without a moment's notice. Heady days...

I could see a 3-5-2 ish formation working well with a number of players we have.....still not sure what Manning favours though, is he just working with what he/we have at the moment or will he end up going to the three he had at MK?

Leigh and Stevens getting up and down the wings, the double pivot of Brannagan/McGuane/McEachran/Smyth as we've seen for a while, Rodrigues or Bodin pushing on supporting Harris and Browne running off.....I personally would like a new striker in and a new tackling midfielder as well as Leigh (if he comes) but I doubt it will happen.....

This formation wouldn't really suit Tyler/Mills/Murphy though.....? In games where we need to play with a wider winger though they would come in to contention I guess?

Easty
Thorniley
Long
Tyler
Gats
Mills
Murphy
Bodin
McEachran
Smyth
Henry
New striker/Browne

Strong bench to have.

Interesting times at OUFC! COYY's!

We have a "Commercial Team"??!!
Sure do...
