Last Saturday, roughly 25-30 supporters from Botley could not get on the OX3 bus as it was at capacity. Will there be an extra bus put on thie weekend, serving Eynsham and Botley?

If Stevens and Leigh both start I hope the midfield will help protect the defence. I do agree tho they both should start I feel sorry for port vale already 😂😂
Why so more than normal? I agree Stevens doesn't look quite as defensive as Long but by all accounts Leigh is an excellent defender and no step down on Brown there. The fact he's also capable on the ball doesn't mean he can't defend, I don't buy that playing him weakens us defensively at all.

I'd imagine Vale won't play as open a game as Charlton, Barnsley and Derby so it'll be a different type of test. A lot of our goals have been scored on a counter attack/quick transition whereas I think we'll be allowed more of the ball on Saturday. Having at least one of Leigh or Stevens will help us build attacks better as they often break down with Brown and Long.

Really looking forwards to Saturday which is a pleasant change from last season. Vale have been in good form after an opening day drubbing so it'll be a good test but we're more than capable of beating them.

Going for a draw even playing better this season we always let one in .So going for 1-1 this is going to be a tough game .

It will be interesting to see the starting back four, in particular Manning’s fullback selections. Also worth baring in mind that we have an EFL Trophy game at Northampton on Tuesday evening , so that may affect Manning’s decision.

Two form teams who won’t make it easy for each other.

Reckon this game will be quite a test for us. McEachran will have a part to play.

Prediction 1-1.

I’m going for another win but not a very pretty one! Believe Vale will set up more defensively than Charlton and it will take us a long time to break them down.

Oxford United 1 - Port Vale 0.

This is one of those classic Oxford United fixtures where we lose a banker after a number of bright results.

2-3 and we pick up again next week.
Whatever happens, won't be next week as Lincoln away on 9 September has been postponed due to international call-ups.
