Tickets Cambridge Away (05 Aug 23) Tickets and Trains

Presume we'll wear the AC Milan kit at Cambridge rather than the Cambridge Uni light blue?!
I hoped we would, but thinking about it Cambridge have black shorts and/or socks, so we might not be able to.

Either way, we should be bringing all of our kits just in case. The last thing we want is a Barnet / Boston away fiasco on the opening day

Depends what shorts the third kit will have. Potentially white?

I've had a response from Lee Barton regarding ticketing and the lack of a collect option for Cambridge tickets. He has this to say:

"Over the course of the season a small number of away tickets will be made available for postage only, as was the case last season. The rationale for this can vary, sometimes due to operational necessity and on occasion, at the request of our hosts."

Anybody's guess as to which category Cambridge tickets fall into.
Why would a “host“ request mail only?

I think this means that the away club will be responsible for all of their ticket sales, so no pay on the door at Cambridge available. There are only a few games that are all ticket / sell out each season.

Rather than that OUFC has to post the tickets to fans. On OWS it says tickets available online, over the phone and at the ticket office.

Maybe if they are still on sale a week before the match there will be an option to collect at the Cambridge ground.

I've just rung the ticket office. I was told they process each game separately and the Bristol City ticket will be put in the post today.
Very polite customer service but very inefficient and a waste of postage.
I've never come across this before. In previous seasons when I've order tickets for two or three games at a time provided OUFC have received them from home team they've all been put in the same envelope and sent out together.
My Bristol City ticket did indeed arrive today.

It must be like trying to explain quantum mechanics explaining the concept of a "sold out away end" to Reading fans.

Makes no sense to me. Postage only means you can't collect them from the OUFC ticket office. So why would CUFC, or any club, request that to be the case. Would make no difference to them whatsoever.

If we play like AC i think the fans will be happy
Maybe if the club planned a game at home to be wearing the AC kit they could play some popular opera tunes before the match and at half time

They'll wear the black and red v QPR ,..... maybe

Tickets sold out.

But who knows how many that is.

Stand behind the goal holds circa 1600, think the initial article from OUFC said we had 1100 with ability to ask for more. (Cambridge don't seem to offer the terracing to (m)any clubs these days)

We aren't very good at saying if/when we've asked for more tickets or how many we've actually sold when they sell out/go off sale.

Think they have stopped using the terrace for away fans altogether and using more for home fans.

stand holds 1600, but they offer unreserved seating, so aren't allowed to sell 1600 (sub 10% from memory)

Well I for one am looking forward to it, and I think we will bag 3 points.

Ticket office saying that we’ve sold just under 1500, includes our initial allocation and the extras that we asked for. We’re not getting any more. There is a waiting list though.

Can't wait for a day out in Cambridge to see the mighty yellows with a sell out away end. Roll on next Saturday!

Just found out I have the day off work after its sold out. Little bit gutted. Guess it's still on ifollow?
