Yes indeed. Totally behind Robinson. Every manager should start with a clean sheet and goodwill. Pep had that, and KR as well.
Hopefully, we will eke out the points we need to creep towards safety. And then he can set about the mother of all rebuilds. The decisions made last summer by Eales and Pep were a horror show. Bad strategy; bad execution. By budget we will probably be the most under-performing club in League 1 this season.
KR certainly walks the walk of a man who won't be put off by the scale of the job. Though it would be interesting to give a penny for his thoughts on Charlton's bounce since he left them: 6 points with 6 scored and 0 conceded!!
Have to agree with you there. I wouldn’t have minded hearing KR’s thoughts at 1.35 today as at that point we could’ve been heading for another Wigan although clearly a bollocking was handed out. Lots of change for the better in the summer I hope.

Why exactly ?

How is that relevant to his role at Oxford?

I’m sure you heard his post match interviews. I would have thought he doesn’t give a flying f**k about Charlton.

Robinson said last week that he feel out with Hall because it impacted on MK Dons but now he was at Oxford he loved him!! That says everything about Robinson, he puts 110% into his club and screw the rest. I bet he couldn't care less what Charlton are doing, and neither should anyone else!

You still think that about Rochdale after today's result against Shrewsbury? ?
In fairness, I wouldn't have given them anything today so they may be the surprise team. However, I think it will be either Oldham or Wimbledon that get pulled in if they escape.

Most under-performing team by budget not named Bury......

Otherwise agree. Given our remaining home fixtures and, frankly, the ineptitude of many of the teams still below us....I think we will survive.

But then it's going to be a fascinating summer. It's going to be the sort of proper Dozen In - Dozen Out off-season that we haven't seen for a while.

First half was awful.......... I bet they are kicking themselves for not finishing us off. We stood off them, let them cross the ball at will, especially Smith Brown whose confidence looks shot to pieces.

Obika did more in 10 mins then Wes did in 50 but how long before he’s injured again? Eastwood made up for his mistake on the goal, god knows where we’d be in the league without him.

Definitely a point gained and something to build on but I bet KR can’t wait to clear out the dead wood in the summer.

Oldham and Rochdale have games in hand, and I think the potential to get something out of them, so it is looking like Bury and Noton are gonners, and then maybe Wimbledons Mk I and II to go with them.
Absolute safety at the moment is 64pts (not accounting for games played against each other), so with GD we have an extra 7pts to play with than those four at least, although worth knowing that the right results in the next round of games would guarantee that Bury cannot catch us.

I have this theory that whoever starts for us up top (Thomas / Obika) has a s**t game and is roundly slated, and then is subbed off for the other, who comes on and plays well. Seems to happen every game! Maybe they just need the other one to tire out the defence a bit before they can make an impact?

Obika looked better than Thomas today because he used his legs to run

I don't think Thomas would have tired anyone! Maybe the defence seized up by not having to move for an hour!!!

At this time of the season and in our position that was a point gained, they were very good in the first half but safety is all that matters now.

Thomas runs plenty. Hes not as big and strong as Obika and can’t play that sole striker role. He’s a poacher and almost scored with that clever shot early on

From what I saw of him vs Pompey and today, running was limited.

Does Thomas close the strikers? Does Thomas run the channels? Does Thomas compete in the air? I concede Thomas as a poacher around the 6 yard box, however you dont require talent to press a defender and compete for the ball.

I think Thomas has his place in the team, the last few showings, when you with think he would be keen to impress the new manager have been lacklustre at best

Yes to be honest he looks fed up to me. I suspect he’s looking forward to playing for a team that suits his style better

Just now any points are welcome and after that complete disaster of a first half we should have been three or four down, so I am extremely happy with a point!

I don't think there's much point in commenting on the individual players as it starts to sound like a stuck record (although - breaking that rule! - Napa played pretty well and looked more up for it than many of his team mates) and they aren't going to improve noticeably at this stage of the season. Most of them will be put out for the dustman to collect in May anyway.

I just want to get to the end of the season with us still in L1 and then I will spend the summer trying to forget Clotet, Xemi etc and looking forward to next season.

Truth is, Thomas runs, but it is usually too late, too early or completely the wrong way.
He was inept at Pompey and he was anonymous today.
On comes the lumbering Obika and we were far more dangerous. Was this due to him being better?
I think not, but he scared the scunny defenders cos he is a unit, and almost put himself about.
Was it a foul on him for the Pen? Who cares? Ref gave it. We scored it.
We are limping towards the finish line guys, This point was a super bonus considering that we looked
So very out of it throughout the first half. Whatever Robinson said at half-time worked.
Happy to take that point and hope that we have enough to see us safe.

Exactly, by hook or by crook we need to gather points, we could have lost today, so lets see it as a point gained, had everyone below us won, then maybe a point today was not enough but as 5 teams below us got beat, you've got to see the result as a positive.

Next up Shrews and another point for me would be welcome.

Nathan did, from what I understood on the radio. Sounded tasty.

I think its now abudantly clear we have a chronic excuse for a team. We are a rotten team.

Im still not totally convinced were going to do it.

But if we do, its time to tear this squad apart.
This is exactly what we have done for the last three seasons. Whats new?
