I generally like what Karl has built here at Oxford in the time that he’s been here, BUT we haven’t achieved anything, is he a nearly man??? - I think this season is done with personally, maybe the new owners will want to shake things up a bit, time will tell!
Is he genuinely building something here though? Off the field the infrastructure s being put into place nicely but on the field we seem to be sliding backwards. Certainly this season. I cant see genuine consistent progress in the three years he’s been here.

That was a staggeringly inept performance by both management and players.

But mainly, by the management.

This was the most important game of the season. Yet we decided to start two stiffs and an unfit Gorrin. The game was up at that moment.

Who else thought when the team was announced that Robinson had lost it?

Why not bring in Hall, or Chambers as an alternative? Why was Agyei exiled to the wing? We all know he is a centre forward by now. FFS, what were you thinking Robinson...

Our manger has a growing charge sheet in blowing the big games .

But what made it even worse tonight is we were eventually out compete and out strengthed by the Dog and Duck.

Almost reminded me of the Marlow cup game, so quickly did we fall to their level.

Terrible night for the supporters.
This sentence describes Robinsons time with us so far in a nutshell.

I would say that in KR 3 years here this is the worst team we’ve had admittedly we’ve have to sell to survive but the players we’ve brought in bar a couple are nowhere as good as the ones we’ve sold.
last season was our big chance and we scraped through the play offs and didn’t bother turning up against little Wycombe abit like last night KR thought we were to good not to lose I’m beginning to wonder if it’s going a bit stale with him in charge ( I’m not asking for him to be sacked) but last night was the worst that team he put out what was it all about it seemed clueless

Just watched Robbo's post match interview, 'that was the best lesson we've had' to paraphras him he says the players must learn from it. However there appears to be nothing he has to learn as he did nothing wrong!

How many players out of contract would you keep and how many others would you try and get rid of ?

I hope the players learn from it. But I hope that KR learns from it even more.

Do not disrespect the opposition like that with five changes and two DMs and expect to walk all over them. As lowly as Northampton are at present, we still have a job to do and you cannot just turn up with half fit players (Winnall and Gorrin) and expect to win. The time for pissing around with the team was with the EFL Trophy. Not now.

Fans are quite rightly fuming at what they are watching at times this season.
There have been far too many of these abject performances.
Low energy, slack passing and squandered chances have blighted a season where a window of opportunity has been swung wide open.
I think our yawning chance has now gone - ‘hoping to get to half-f*****g-time at 0-0.’

Still, at least we got to see Wootton reserves strut their stuff last night and if the players and management are happy with that, then crack on!!!😞

I`m a fairly positive person but when I saw the line up I had concerns that we were going to try and play them at their own game of hoofball.
Winnall as a lone target man was less than successful and most of our attacking moves came from defenders at set pieces.
When Dan was running at them it was a lovely sight to behold, if we are going with 1 up top then he`s the man, but keeping that up for 90 minutes was never happening.

Very poor performance, but it`s done..... go again on Friday with a win on the telly!! :D (y) (y)

Is your team struggling and in desperate need of some points/goals? Have you not scored in 20 games? Do you need a morale boosting win? If so, come and play Oxfam Utd, guaranteed to help you with a charitable donation of points at any time.

Sooner Robinson fucks off the better that was an absolute shambles,so arrogant of him to put that side out just so he can look good in front of the cameras Friday night. Post match interview was a farce, you got a yes man asking shite questions and not 1 question was asked on the starting 11

Whilst I agree that the performance last night was terrible, the players that were on the pitch should have been good enough to win the game if the tactics were right. Clearly they weren't.
Just don't think the pitch was really in a fit state to play our usual passing game. Players fell over on numerous occasions (Northampton's included), simple passes were being miscontrolled and dribbling was inconsistent on both sides.

Essentially got drew into playing them at their own game, one of which we're just not that suited to. Can understand why he went with 'battlers' in midfield of Gorrin and Grayson with 'power' of Agyei and Winall, but just didn't really work. If Atkinson would have scored one of his early set piece chances before Northampton were really set we'd have probably been okay, but wasn't to be.

Just seems to be a feeling from some on here that footballers are machines and should be able to play 90 minutes twice a week with no problems. We have to rotate sometimes to give players rest and allow them to recover from knocks. It's not rocket science, but yeah, we'll likely play worse and have a weaker side out.

It's a bit like the people who play Football Manager and say "all my players are injured, this game is a joke" when they've played full-pelt gegenpress for a season lasting 60 games without any rotation.
