A really big test now for the boys. Get a point there and we should be on the way to the play-offs. Get 3 and I for one will be over the moon.

Couple of key players due back, Henry seems to have come back in form, Sykes is looking for a contract extension, Matty wants to score, Stephens wants a clean sheet, the bench is becoming stronger and hopefully, the players have found a belief in themselves again. A break in between to recharge batteries and sort tired heads and legs, who knows, I just have a feeling that maybe we can get something out of this game. But what do I know?

no owner (& bag man) with a vested interest in this game this time round ( to fire up the manager, n by default their squad etc)... I fancy an away win , which would make it a really good Friday

Would be chuffed with a point, would be bouncing with 3 points, will be ok with a defeat as long as the performance is decent. We've got the confidence back, no reason why we should go super negative again and play like we did at Sixfields. Hopefully Long and Ruffs are fit to start otherwise Sunderland will rip our non full backs to shreds.

Having just watched them beat Bristol Rovers, I would say any of the three results are about as likely, we have absolutely nothing to fear but it really depends which Oxford turns up on the day. Play like we did last night and I’d expect at least a point.

25 years ago we had an Easter weekend where Joey scored a belter against Blackpool on the Saturday and then we battered Wycombe on the Monday with the Moody handstand and Massey crossbar combo before going on to get promotion.

This time I also see one of our own scoring a cracker with Sam Long returning to get the winning goal against the team his family supports!

Then on to Monday where we give Accrington another humiliation including a final goal from Matty Taylor who replicates the handstand with Cam hanging from the goal. Setting us up for a spectacular winning run in and play off success!

You heard it here first (and last I should think!!)

A quarter of a century ago? 😔 You'll be telling me Joey Beauchamp is 50 next... Oh... f**k I'm old... 🧓 😔

As has been said elsewhere 74 points seem to be the magic number as far as the play-offs are concerned. That means we will have to win 6 of our last 9 matches.

Asking a bit too much as far as I am concerned.

There's always the hope of a miracle though.

This will be a tough match so have gone for a point, anything else is a bonus.
One thing I read on FB which irked me a bit because they’re winning now the Sunderland fans say U.K. Johnson is the man for the job, but it’s the same players that cost the previous manager. What’s different? And it’s not Johnson is playing them his way, they’re playing the same positions as before.....so if it’s a case of they didn’t want to play for Parkinson, then that’s unprofessional of the players

But our players like Robbo and enjoy playing for him yet some don't want him here.

Anyway let's hope our caretaker manager has a good impact Friday

Stevens

Long Moore Atkinson Ruffels

Gorrin Brannagan

Henry Lee Barker

Aygei

Eastwood, Forde, Kelly, Sykes Shodipo, Taylor, Winnall

Sunderland have played 46 matches in all competitions this season and have lost only seven. Under Phil Parkinson they were hard to beat, under Johnson they’re even more difficult to take points from.

Offer me a draw now and I’d undoubtedly take it.

You forgot the dog running onto the pitch...
