Away Match Day Thread +++ 21/04/2018 Doncaster v OUFC match day thread +++

Listening to Karl Robinson on the Radio now....yes, he is the right man for the job.

That was just so crazy good. Lego was monster today. My god, just so precious those points were. A shift and a half from just about everyone. Special mention also for Eastwood. 2 great great saves to keep us in it.
We fans should also be f*****g proud of our support today. Awesome!

Riccy not played because of contract renewal clause!

Yeah, that was interesting. If I understand what he was saying, it was that he didn’t want to automatically trigger whatever is in his contract. But still wants him next year.

Is that a fact? If so a huge risk.
KR on the radio said so. Stopped short of saying he won't be here next year, but he wants "things to be right on our own terms first".

Also has already told 4 or 5 players they are off in the summer.

Well done to KR for firming up the underbelly. Very interesting interview on Radox - already told some players they are leaving and talking to players he wants to bring in. Good man!

Reckon one of these players KR is speaking to 2 loanees and a permanent by the sounds of it one may be a LB and he's waiting for confirmation before deciding on Ricardinho.

Brilliant game Easty MOM ref absolute w****r Marquis is buying a new suit on Monday......a diving suit

Dunno about huge risk. Ruffels is probably as good defensively, silva is always prone to a mistake or losing his man. He gives u a lot more going forward, but if we’re setting up like in the last few to make sure we don’t concede and he’s not in kr’s plans for next season then silly to trigger a contract we would have to pay off if we don’t need to

Wonder how long it took to tell Tiendalli to jog on. And by ‘jog’ I of course mean ‘slowly walk on, because your calf or hammy will probably go for the third time this season’

Telling comments regarding our squad size, contractual situations, recruitment policy last summer, underestimations of the L1 standard etc.

Ruffels at times has been a liability defensively when played left back. Understandably, his positional sense is poor, and he actually got caught out two or theee times today.

Whenever Ricardinho has played this season we’ve looked a better team than when he doesn’t. So yes, to me, that’s a huge risk.

Revealing what we'd come to realise about the astuteness of decisions made PC who believed in his own hype to coach us onto better things..thankfully the plug was pulled on that sink:)

Well it worked. Kr is talking about a much smaller squad next season, so doubt we will have more than 2 per position, with youth and loans making up the rest, as well as some utility players like ruffels and Carroll. If Ricardinho is on decent money, with his age as well, then kr is probably hot it spot on. It’s not like we won’t be able to replace him with better, bury’s lb for example. He been ok this season , and the best of pep’s signings but that doesn’t say a lot, and I think we should be looking at better

It worked but only just!! Had it not been for Eastwood we’d have lost today, and we’d have been in deep s**t going into next weekend’s match.

I’m really pleased and relieved we won today, but I’ll stand by my statement that it was a huge risk to not play our best left back.

Superb performance. Let’s sign Marquis, real threat all game.
The rebuild can start now.
Not mathematically safe....but can’t see us slipping up now.
Gillingham could be the fall guys
Marquis? He falls down to much
