General Stadium Catering

There’s an old expression:
“ make hay whilst the sun shines “ or you have a captive audience for a limited, but predetermined time , so cash in .
Very few clubs at our level seem to understand this very simple business mantra.
@Farrscatering are unfortunately, no different.
I gave @Farrscatering another chance last night and they delivered.
Queue was dealt with quickly, staff were courteous, pie & tea were good and new till & card payment system worked a treat.

Thank you for sticking with us. I’m can’t believe how well the tills are working and the difference they are going to make, I still need to make a couple of small changes my end and they should be unstoppable.
We will soon be able to offer a pre ordering, so you can make sure we have what you want ready to go, I’m like a kid in a sweet shop at the minute, the stuff I can do with them is so exciting (maybe I need a better hobby)

The least amount of money from my pocket that goes to Kassam the better in my eyes , so I’m very comfortable with my boycott thanks !

You’re completely missing the point. And the pint, for that matter.

Your money is already going to Kassam.

Your “boycott” is actually harming a local business. Nice one.

Does that mean the Loungers (when/if it reopened) get their Coffee/Tea and Biscuits back? :)
Ah! If only.

Next season maybe, if we get the 1893 club back. Until then it's a vaccination centre. Tried the tea from Farr's, the water wasn't quite right. Hoping for better soon!

So Kassam has given the club the concourse rents from Farrs but also has handed them responsibility for the concourses(including those rusty old urinals! I bet it costs more to update the toilets than the rent from Farrs. I will now use the concourse food bars - as long as they can shorten the queues

Is that a no then?

Or do you still go to games?
I obviously accept as soon as I buy a ticket , then I’m contributing to the leach . I’d be rather foolish not to go at all then that clearly is harming the club who’ve I’ve followed for 40 years .
Roll on 5 years ish when we’re sat in our new ground

A bit negative isn't it? why do people naturally look for the negative? don't we trust OUFC to have have done this deal for the good of the club?

Firoz kassam has always known that some supporters refrain from buying food on the concourses because in some ways it reduces his profits. He has obviously done a deal with the club where the club has judged that if they run the show, income will increase and perhaps it will be a win win situation.

To be fair, I had the same thought when I read it. The good thing is OUFC can directly control areas which are vital for the 'experience' of watching OUFC. I think the point was more 'Kassam has gained from the deal, not been generous and has given us a good deal', not a dig at the club for doing it.

If we increase food and drink sales which helps the club and the experience i don't care a toss if Firoz Kassam benefits.

Some would disagree. If the money goes more to the club and they have more control, and but there is an offset with more cost in maintaining the concourses, then that is a decent business decision.

Are you not highlighting a negative that may not be true? do you not trust the club?
