I'd like to see a new right back and use Sam Long as a centre back who can cover both full back positions. As his moving around the defence has affected his performances at right back.

Not quite sure I agree with the moving about effecting his performances.

He’s a professional footballer, and mainly been a RB for us, so it shouldn’t really effect him. He’s just been below par, and I’d rather see Forde played at the moment. Giving Long a rest, and probably burnt out after a long season.

For the start of next season I’d like to see 3 permanently signed centre backs plus Long plus a new right back and left back. That would be 7 players fighting it out for 4, assuming we play back 4.

Then if Gorrin stays on, we need competition for him and back up in that holding midfield position. Someone with a bit of height may be useful.

I probably would try and do a deal with Baldock. His injury record isn’t great but he did look the part, and looked great playing with Taylor. I’d take the risk particularly if we signed another forward with a decent track record of staying fit. I’d probably also consider not playing Taylor or Baldock in the cup games; keep them fresh for the league.

We’re all saying it, we just need a balanced squad.

We don't want Taylor Baldock and Henry that would like a constant injury list .

If we can hold onto Elliott Moore and Luke McNally this summer.
Ciaron Brown and someone like Conor Masterson would add to the back 3/4 next season.
another young Irish defender would be a bonus

Just seen Warburton saying that they are expecting West ham and Leeds to make an offer for Rob Dickie expect him to go this time. They need money to push on. Let's hope he goes for a big fee

Haven't seen him in the team for a bit and QPR have had a losing streak till this w/e.

Kane is a quality player at League One level, however he’s wasted playing in a defensive midfield role.

If Kane signs on a permanent for next season we desperately need a fit Gorrin or another dependable defensive midfielder with Kane playing further forward. He would be devastating in a more advanced role.

Completely agree I still can’t believe we didn’t sign a replacement for Gorin in January, even if we get Kane back I’d Still want another holding midfielder to compete with Gorin.

I'd like to see Baldock on a permanent plus Stockton from Morecambe but there'll be a lot of competition for both signatures I'd imagine.

If we're being realistic we'll need replacements for Sykes and Brannagan. Smodizc from Posh would be one.

The priority though has to be an entire new back four and a first choice keeper. This is where the money should be spent on experienced, first team ready replacements for our leaky defence.
