Can't wait for Saturday.

I'm realistic, that there's some "big" clubs to fight for promotion this season, but I'm going to enjoy every minute.

This should well and truly boil the P**s of those that constantly talk shite about Robinson. Bate was approached by championship clubs, but decided to join Oxford instead. Absolute scenes.

ROBINSONS YELLOW ARMY! [emoji590]
Wait until he spends every night reading the forum

Camara from Plymouth is the obvious choice for me. As they turned down a bid from us for Hardin, do you think we’ve asked the question about Camara? Would take a big offer, but he’s in the final year of his deal…

Camara already said he handed in a transfer request to play in the Championship. Think Preston were mentioned (Ryan Lowe).

Personally don’t see him going to another League 1 club.

I'm just disappointed we signed ANOTHER player before getting to page 800.

Still, we're averaging over 100 per signing.....

Can't comment too much on Bate's ability as I haven't seen him play other than a few short clips. He sounds like a talented player and obviously has good pedigree. My conclusion from the scouting report posted by Shosho is that he sounds very similar in style to Brannagan (good engine, good passing range, tenacious but undersized).

We are still yet to address the lack of physicality and athleticism in the side, especially midfield. If we don't I fear it will be out downfall yet again.

From what I’ve seen is he not a box to box midfielder certainty ran through us at will during the home game last season.

What we need - a left back who’s an upgrade on Seddon, a right back to compete with Long, a physical defensive midfielder & a centre forward who gives us variety to Taylor/Baldock.

4 away from the balanced squad 🤞🏼

Despite my concerns McGuane was the real deal Saturday against Derby in that defensive midfield role. So not sure we need more with Gorrin in the background. Bate is a starter for me

Not for me. Goes to ground far too easily to be a ball winning midfielder (think Wigan away last season).

A robust and imposing ball winner is required in that position.

NB: I fully expect Robinson to go with McGuane though.

Would still like an imposing, ball winning midfielder in the squad - not just the one that is on his way back from an acl injury (before anyone references Gorrin).

We have some lovely centre midfielders/10's (Bran, Bate, McGuane, Henry, Bodin etc) but imo we are still lacking power in the squad which a number of us, even Robinson himself, have mentioned is required in order to compete with the real top teams in this league.
Nail on the head.

I feel like that sometimes when you ring in at Rad Ox, but I don’t come on here say things. You have opinions, and wear your heart on your sleeve, and try to say how it is, and that’s fine! Just because someone has a different opinion to yourself, doesn’t mean you need to try and be macho and try to be aggressive towards people.

Anyway how’s Mildred feeling better I hope.
Are you ok? You seem very distant, are you still with us? Or are you fading away? One can hope I suppose
