f**k me baz, us dragging our feet means the poor lad has an attitude now? That makes no sense at all.
On the Millwall forum he has done the W*anker sign to his own fans numerous times and been seen doing nitrous oxide balloons loads of times also didn't work out for deli Ali doing similar things so safe to say he does have some issues.

Context is everything. Truth of it is none of us know what it's like to have thousands of people abuse you at the top of their lungs. I suspect most of us might have a reaction to that, let alone a kid that's hardly in to adulthood. Could be a reaction to racist abuse - would that be unthinkable at a club like that? We also can't be naïve enough to think Dele Alli is a special case. The ones you hear about are just the ones that get caught and make a headline, not the only ones to do it. Same with betting and anything else.

One game proves very little of course - especially with an incomplete squad (although presumably you can say the same about the opposition!).

But as a more general point, it does rather concern me when lower league managers insist on playing possession based, play it out from the back at all costs football - for two reasons. Firstly it makes you completely predictable. As an opposition team there are some possibilities you don't even have to consider catering for, which makes it much easier for your team. Secondly, while it might work in the Prem, the quality of player in L1 is simply not the same. Which can make it both risky and ineffective - especially if done as slowly as we seemed to do it on Saturday.

Of course, I know that's how LM likes his teams to play - but I hope he learns quickly that having options is necessary. Being out-thought in the first match of the season is not a good start.
Agree entirely. We need different options off the bench if plan A isn't working, which was quite clear by half time. We played the whole game exactly how Bonner thought we would. The subs made a bit of difference but when they're all like for like nothing much changed apart from fresh legs coming on.
Possession based build from the back is all well and good but it has to be quicker and incisive with the aim to score goals not keep the ball in your own half needlessly.
Overlapping full backs would be a good start!!

Taken from the 'Tyler Burey' thread on the Millwall forum.

'Well… guess that’s his last game for the club then!

I’ve never seen a player openly giving the fans a w****r sign repeatedly over & over again then sticking his tongue out when you just conceded. 😂'

Quite a few start piling in, calling Burey 'lazy', 'petulant', 'arrogant' etc.

But then, these type of posts start appearing:

'Yeah you missed out the bit where he was getting absolute dogs abuse for f**k all and a lighter chucked at him. I don’t know what the kid has done wrong but the stick he has got this season is f*****g disgusting and a shameful reflection on our fans.

I’ve said it before, there is nothing wrong with his attitude. The only people with an attitude problem is the arseholes abusing him.'

And then this one:

'I' ve never seen or heard a wall player take so much abuse from fans as i have Burey. One example, home to Barnsley ladt season. He;s warming up with Evans and one more player who's name escapes me, Burey you c**t, Burey you rudeboy c**t, Burey you're s**t, sort that f*****g barnet out you c**t and on it went.

I'll f*****g say it, Burey is being singled out cause he looks different and is seen as fair game.'

Oh and this one:

'Burey was being slaughtered by the Dockers Lower before he even got on the pitch. We had two chances that I can remember in the second half and he created them both, with skill and pace and still got dogs abuse.

He was called everything under the sun for being lazy, had at least 2 bottles and a lighter thrown at him, yet was our only chance of saving the game.'

So anyway. Now it's being taken as gospel by some people Burey 'has an attitude'. Or maybe, just maybe, he hasn't reacted brilliantly to having bottles and lighters thrown at him and receiving a load of vile verbal abuse, at least some of which may well be racially motivated.

Based on that, I'm not at all convinced there are issues with Burey's attitude, but there are definitely issues with some Millwall fans' attitude towards Burey.

Well if he comes to us let’s hope he can show some of us were wrong

Oh you and your "there are two sides to every argument' post. I must say I prefer hearsay and gossip, as evidently, so do a few posters here.

Yeah good point. I really hope we sign him.

Then we should repeatedly call him a c**t, throw a couple of bottles and a lighter at him, then see what he does.

If he doesn't like it then it'll mean you were correct to say he has an attitude problem.

Hopefully he just mans up and gets on with it though. All part of the game, isn't it.

Last week a youth on here said 'We've paid, so we can say what we like'.

Surely Mr and Mrs Lounger would never partake in something such as this. Mind you the odd digestive was seen being hurled pitchside last season. Though I'm not at liberty to say who threw it.

Once you get tainted with the bad attitude tag anything that happens can be thrown against you, it’s like trying to prove you are not mad.

No one actually has any proof of this bad attitude but people are still going on like he has walked off the pitch after half an hour and taken match ball with him.
This “bad attitude“ comes from the Millwall supporters. They threw racial taunts at him and he responded by giving them and the V’s. Millwall are still racist Neanderthals, they’re happy to give it, but when someone reacts and gives them something back, he suddenly has a bad attitude! Well done to him I say.

Digestives were hurled from the South Stand last year? That is an absolute disgrace, they should be ashamed of themselves. If it were Hobnobs being thrown then I'd understand it, those things are rank, but the glorious Digestive should not end its life as a missile.

It didn't! I caught it and rammed it down my throat.

Clearly has a few issues. But, nothing compared to the poor souls of Kidlington

I know a few Millwall fans, not all of them are "racist Neanderthals" shouldn't tarnish them all with same brush, Oxford has its own bunch of Neanderthals also.

Wouldn't have chucked Dark Chocolate Digestives as that would be a treasonable offence!

I don't think you can tarnish anything with a brush. Perhaps you mean to tar them (which is what I'd like to do to the cunts from the EFL. How come I can't watch this on iPlayer? Nor is there any evidence that Neanderthals were racist, or particularly thick.

I actually know a Millwall fan, he's as nice and mild mannered a person as you'll ever meet. Though they certainly seemed to bring some odd characters for that cup game a few years back.
