Taken from the 'Tyler Burey' thread on the Millwall forum.
'Well… guess that’s his last game for the club then!
I’ve never seen a player openly giving the fans a w****r sign repeatedly over & over again then sticking his tongue out when you just conceded.
'
Quite a few start piling in, calling Burey 'lazy', 'petulant', 'arrogant' etc.
But then, these type of posts start appearing:
'Yeah you missed out the bit where he was getting absolute dogs abuse for f**k all and a lighter chucked at him. I don’t know what the kid has done wrong but the stick he has got this season is f*****g disgusting and a shameful reflection on our fans.
I’ve said it before, there is nothing wrong with his attitude. The only people with an attitude problem is the arseholes abusing him.'
And then this one:
'I' ve never seen or heard a wall player take so much abuse from fans as i have Burey. One example, home to Barnsley ladt season. He;s warming up with Evans and one more player who's name escapes me, Burey you c**t, Burey you rudeboy c**t, Burey you're s**t, sort that f*****g barnet out you c**t and on it went.
I'll f*****g say it, Burey is being singled out cause he looks different and is seen as fair game.'
Oh and this one:
'Burey was being slaughtered by the Dockers Lower before he even got on the pitch. We had two chances that I can remember in the second half and he created them both, with skill and pace and still got dogs abuse.
He was called everything under the sun for being lazy, had at least 2 bottles and a lighter thrown at him, yet was our only chance of saving the game.'
So anyway. Now it's being taken as gospel by some people Burey 'has an attitude'. Or maybe, just maybe, he hasn't reacted brilliantly to having bottles and lighters thrown at him and receiving a load of vile verbal abuse, at least some of which may well be racially motivated.
Based on that, I'm not at all convinced there are issues with Burey's attitude, but there are definitely issues with some Millwall fans' attitude towards Burey.
