Happy with the draw and the effort but we were second best in a few key areas. Their pace in midfield along with their press really caused us issues. Haven’t seen the goals we conceded yet but they looked absolutely dreadful. Delighted for both Tyler and Henry and another vital contribution from Harris. Really struggling to identify a MOTM though as nobody really stood out. Do think we played well in the second half and fully deserved a point.

I'm not too sure I share all the positivity (quelle surprise I hear you say) in that Pompey weren't anything great and our defending was utterly, utterly dreadful for both goals.

Still, it's a point, and with reinforcements, things can only get better!
I don’t think anyone believes that it was a great performance. It was infinitely better than Saturday, though, and it was a wonderful moment when the second went in.

A vital boost to everyone.

I wish Cam had connected better with that volley at the end. Would have been a great winner if that had gone in (instead of into orbit).

That guy is at boiling point to do well and gets as frustrated as we do. You could see he loved our second going in. Need more of his screamers to land right.

The ball just wouldn’t come down for him so had to take it early, hence hitting row ZZ!!

Not sure you can really blame Eastwood for either of those goals.

The first one is a point blank shot from six yards out which he has stopped and it’s then pinballed in.

The second is shot across goal at close range into the corner and it’s the defence which shouldn’t have let him walk into the box with the ball.

That beautiful ball round the corner by Tyler which led to his cross in the second half was beautiful to see. Used the pace and spin of the ball excellently. He really is progressing well.
Shame he didn’t try it again in the 2nd half rather than trying to play in Burey.

Just on Burey, I thought he had a much better game tonight when he has the ball at his feet, but he seems very reactive off the ball. Just hope that improves as he gets more game time.

Battling point, happy with that in the end.

I read a lot of posts on here calling other clubs and their fans 'tin pot' , well our support was crap last night!

Randoms;

Tyler G is worth a lot of money. Once he gets within shooting range he usually scores. Golddust player.

Tyler B frightening pace, ,unique running style , entertaining, defensive duties er not something he’s keen on.

O’Donkor. All we are saying is give us a goal, He looks a unit and he will come good.. But agree with the general sentiment , it’s now loan time.

Eastwood, a disastrous performance. Coventry game seems to have finished him off.

Pompey, how ponderous were they at the back! Play offs for them, they did have some notable performers though, ie Lane and particularly Bishop. High quality operator.

If we get Owen Dale in, well pleased , always impressed against us . Clever and a bit spiky with it.

Smyth, he’s a baller, but he’s not a right back. Find a place for him in the middle of the pitch.

Crowd, good, at last some life.Pompey do tend to get us going, dislikeable bunch of supporters.

Well done Des, lads showed some balls tonight.
Think you’re being really unfair re; Eastwood comment. Neither goal was his fault. In fact he did well to save that initial shot for their first goal. Both goals were at fault by the team defensively. Goodrham allowed his man to get to the by-line too easily (just not great at the defensive bit, generally gets wrong side of his man). He should have shown his man inside.
