Think Cam & Lee were both not fully fit which showed, we are struggling without Taylor’s goals for sure.
We matched neigh dictated for 20/25 minutes but you summed it up perfectly they had quality players who shifted the ball at pace and their 1st goal whilst simplistic and well executed was a prime example of everything we didn't do.Did I watch a different match to the guys posting..we lost to top of the table side that have extremely quality attacking players and , by being on the front foot, got caught by an extremely good player who also had luck with both goals .
Apart from those goals I don't think they had hardly any shots.
We played very well and could, shoukd easily have been one up then the game changes as they throw more forward and our pace could have been fruitful.
2nd half was disappointing but not as bad as being made out , we lost to a very good side , away , and mostly matched them .
The meltdowns on here when we lose are a bit OTT to say the least .
Henry was shockingly out of form so I wouldn’t say we’re missing him. We’re missing Long for sure, and everyone else is just a bit jaded/tired/knackered.
You mean Lee who has scored 2 in 5 starts for us and was part of a promotion winning team from this league two seasons ago is only a good back up player for us?I was referring to some of the Loan players as deadwood. Kelly, Barker, Grayson aren't good enough for a top 6 league 1 side. Shodipo and Lee are good back up players and Mcguane is what exactly we are missing at the moment. Few on the bench and out injured will be off aswell I would think, Hall, Hanson and maybe even Winnal. Then you got the likes of Clare out on loan who looked good at right midfield.
Karl got a busy summer and it could possibly be his last with us, are the board happy with us just being a mid table league 1 side? You could say he has had long enough to build a team to get us out this league by now.
The fact of the matter is we don't have strength in depth, a third of the squad are either out of form, past it or crocks.
On paper we are not even a top 10 side, the team last year with fosu and baptiste was better then the current one.
This made me laugh. On paper we are actually 9th in the table meaning at this moment in time we are "even a top 10 side"!The fact of the matter is we don't have strength in depth, a third of the squad are either out of form, past it or crocks.

We are where we are because we are a selling club. One step forward two steps back and then build again. I don't have a problem with that if it's the only way we can survive financially. But what I am starting to have a problem with though is being asked to believe this isn’t the reality and that we are aiming to be a Championship club in a few years. Substance over form and all that. The fact of the matter is we don't have strength in depth, a third of the squad are either out of form, past it or crocks.

The problem though is we don’t score whether we sideways back ways or even forward ways play the ball.Tell that to Leeds United. 39 sideways passes v Southampton in '72. Managed to scrape through 7-0
I would have thought OOC as the transfer windowed are now closed and the only Loans are emergency GK loansNow that Mcguane has gone back to his club are we allowed a replacement loan, or do we have to find somebody out of contract?
As we are a selling club, the way things are at the club financially we can only probably make the championship isnbybrhe way Wycombe made the championship and then if we were to make the championship the investment we would require to stay in the championship would be immense for a club our size.We are where we are because we are a selling club. Have to fully agree. Yes it would be nice for us all to see a better standard of football at some new grounds , looking at it, IF we did go up this season would we be in the same situation as say Rotherham who look like coming down again for the second time after having to sell.As we are a selling club, the way things are at the club financially we can only probably make the championship isnbybrhe way Wycombe made the championship and then if we were to make the championship the investment we would require to stay in the championship would be immense for a club our size.
Sad to say it but from the few chances you mention they did have the quality and perhaps composure to score twice, i think you may have forgotten the curler from outside the box that for all the world looked like it was heading for the top corner. We have played quite a few of the top teams recently and there has not been much between the sides and in fact at times the game has been of quite a high quality overall. But there seems to be a problem actually getting on the right side of results against these teams now.
I counted Hull only had 4 shots on target, the goal which somewhat fortuitously went through Forde's legs into the only place in the goal Stevens didn't have covered (and that goal probably would have been prevented if we had a right back playing at right back as well), their second goal was a deflection which was a comfortable save if Atkinson hadn't slid in, another shot from 30 yards which was a weak effort and another that only needed a good save because of another big deflection. So our opponents were not exactly blessed with lots of good chances despite being the better team second half. And they conceded chances in their defence but we just couldn't score, again.
I actually thought our final ball first half was excellent at times, what we lacked was an in form Taylor to knock the ball in the net. Second half we did start to look a tired and patched up side though. But even then without Lee's mistake leading to their second goal we were still in the game and lined up to give it a go in the last 15 minutes. Brannagan seems to have got a bit of his spark back, just needs to find his shooting boots and we could have a very good player for the rest of the season. He does need to play higher up the pitch though. There were times that Hanson, Brannagan and Barker were just a few yards from our back 4 looking to receive the ball. No wonder we can't break out of defence quickly.
Our last 8 games have to be targeted for at least 19 points. I think we need to get at least 8 points from our next 5 games to stay in with a chance with that target for the last 8 games, but that means we need to beat one of Doncaster, Blackpool, Lincoln or Sunderland, and can only afford one loss against these sides. 6th place is still up for grabs but still needs an exceptional run of results, any higher seems unlikely.
Are you surprised? That show is the absolute pits. The Quest highlights have done us a massive disservice. Not a single one of our chances shown!
That was because you said it at a time when we were playing well, creating chances and actually feeling positive at that stage about getting a result, away at the league leaders and favourites for promotion.Yet when i said just that on here yesterday all hell broke loose!
