Tragically there will be an element of hooliganism and I can’t see it being eradicated. We have to go further than just being quiet and reponsible neighbours, we have to show that having us as neighbours is positively life-enhancing from the opportunities the facilities will offer!
The incidents I’ve seen at the Kassam this season have only been 4/5 with the MK game being the last one I saw.
If we as a club can prevent issues especially when we move all well and good, but we would have to have in place something for the away supporters, that’s why I mentioned MK dongs and never expected that.
But if we can be seen to promote a good safe environment for home and away supporters which might get the locals thinking we are doing something positive. Then that’s half the battle one.
As you say if the facilities non offer would prove to be very beneficial to the local community as well as further afield then even better.
