I believe you can only appeal straight reds.

Unless it has changed, I don't think you can appeal yellow cards.

It seems to be incredibly rare that these appeals are successful, so just goes to show how much of a poor decision it was.

I still maintain that Smyth's was also v harsh but that's a moot point I suppose.

Do strikers get fined when they miss an easy chance or did Easty when he got beat by long range low shots? Officials make mistakes just like players.
