Away Match Day Thread +++ 10/03/18 AFC Wimbledon v OUFC +++

Plenty of manager much older than 23 have said worse. Stupid, but shows that he has a bit of passion and is pissed off with losing, and not just collecting a wage. At least Swindon seem to be doing their best to make sure we play them next season.
A manager threated to kill someone then?

Those 8 days with 3 home games in April is looking massive for us, the one part of our remaining fixture list where we could get a bit of a run going and pick up decent points.

Vital we get a manager in as soon as possible to raise the standards, we can at least be professional on the football side then, even if everything else is a mess.

Whoever above said one up top doesn’t work for us is spot on, Obika is bad enough with a partner but as a lone target man he is beyond hopeless. A new manager who accepts we have a poor side and sets the team up to fight for points in a relegation battle is what is needed, not someone who thinks this set of players can football there way out of it.

Listen: this is a club where an owner hires a useless manager, sacks him, buggers off abroad for a month, leaves the assistant in charge, flogs the club at a dreadful time of the year, presides over a shambolic exit, loads the club up with hard debt to himself.
And gets thanked fulsomely by the supporters trust.
God I hope we do not get relegated. It would be a horror. But there is a strong argument that we would deserve it, for supine, self-serving complacency.
Being at AFCW reminds us what it means to fight for every inch for your club. We might need to re-discover that spirit some time soon.

Eales must take the blame for this. He has been thinking about his own interests and has left the club in a mire. If he had gone with Sartori he would have been thanked for his efforts. Now his tenure will be seen as poor after a wonderful couple of years.

We can't have it both ways.

I admire Todd Kane's passion, as a lack of passion is exactly what a lot of people are slating the rest of the team for. He's a young man who was put on the spot by Rad Ox and he overreacted, but he shouldn't be vilified for it. He'll be punished by the FA I suspect, so let's hope it's only a fine and not a suspension.

What??? He basically set he would smack the ref if he saw him on the street. Appalling.
Yes it was wrong he was letting of steam and so was I in my comment but I also said he would be fined, if hes been told it wasn't a penalty after it had been given against him which irrespective of the their 2nd goal but that could relegate us and yes he was pissed of. But your right it is appalling

I would prefer the passion to be shown ON the pitch though.

That was s**t. We were terrible, Wimbledon were terrible, and the ref and line were f*****g. Terrible. Only plus is that others didn’t close further. Announcement desperately needed for Monday to give a week to sort them out. (If that’s even possible)

Never a pen, unless a deliberate slip is now a foul. Wes Thomas should have finished his one on one. And how many times can we concede from a set piece into our box
Rochdale, Northampton, Oldham, Fleetwood and of course Wimbledon, all closed the points gap.
It couldn't have been a much worse day points wise.

Well it could they all drew, they could have won and been within 2 points of us rather than still a 4 point gap. Rochdale now the threat I think, games in hand and have found form.
I think you were saying on another thread that we will be ok because there are 5 or 6 teams that need to overhaul us.
I'd bet that yesterday you didn't think 5 of them would be closer to us today.

4 points off relegation and the worst form in the division...

I didn’t think yesterday that we would lose today.

Lose to any of the 3 below us now and we will have serious problems. Like I said above still can’t see many of them going on runs, apart from Rochdale. But if we continue to play like that, with no idea or tactic , then it matters not anyway and we will have got exactly what we deserved

The snow flakes are out in force !
Silly - yes, and a fine coming his way but I think there's bigger things to worry about .

B*****s to your snowflakes comment. I’m watching the rugby right now, and to imagine one of them making a comment like that and getting away with it is just unimaginable. Nothing to do with “passion” and all to do with being a dick.

Oh for goodness sake at least he gives a s**t. Heat of the moment. Think he meant he would let him have it verbally. Trivial.
Well done to him. Referees in their ivory towers. Above criticism. Lets club together and pay his fine.
