I should save it for the next Match Build-Up thread (and will probably post it again there) but couple of contrasting statistics for the weekend.

On the one hand, since losing to the scum - we are 11 unbeaten in all competitions, with 7 wins in a row. Meanwhile since beating the scum in early December, Fleetwood are 8 games without a win in all competitions.

On the other - our historical record against Fleetwood is P12 W0 D2 L10. 😬

A truly remarkable night of football which has left me very hopeful that if we get the transfer window right, we could go one better than last season.

I think that when the management and players sit down and analyse the game there will be plenty of concerns including our composure, concentration and decision making at times. We were no where near our best, but we scored 4 very good goals and the one from Shodipo was real roy of the rovers stuff.

I go to bed buzzing all in all - you have to be able to come through these type of tests if you want to be a successful team. We keep finding ways of winning and thats very encouraging. Its about time we beat Fleetwood as well.

Which is good it’s got to end sometime, SATURDAY

Think Karl got out of jail tonight but Mide saved him. We were spluttering from 65 mins onwards, lost the ability to pass
lacked shape and looked for all the money that we were going to get done in the last knockings.
yep the 3 subs definitely made us less effective, but i guess players cant keep playing full on game after game.

I thought Forde did fine - he was busy, and I think it was his beauty of a ball that Winnall should have buried.

But Winnall was poor.....and Shodipo did absolutely nothing of consequence before stepping up with the 40 yard game winner. That seems to be his MO!

That's 7-4 over our two games with them. A hat-trick from Moore and two from Shodipo.
We've had a good run of genes against sides below us but the next two months look decidedly more difficult. To be near the playoffs we'll need good results against the likes of Sunderland, Portsmouth, Hull, Peterborough and Doncaster, whilst still beating the teams below us. Not an easy task.

What a fantastic crazy result, credit to the team for pulling that out of the back. Thought we were poor defensively tonight. Atkinson at fault for their first 2 goals, then moore, stevens and long for their 3rd. Gorrin also had a bit of a mare losing possession too easily. What a strike from henry and he crossed for moores goal as well. Shodipo, doesnt do a thing then gets the winner wow. Great sign that we win when not playing well. Coyy.

Other results didn't really go our way tonight (although Posh drawing at home to Bristol Rovers is useful, and surprising), but the playoffs seem increasingly possible

Don't worry too much about what other teams are doing above us. For example after the scum loss we were 17 points off the top of the league, 9 games later we are 14 points off top with a game in hand over Lincoln . We were also 12 points off 6th place with a game in hand now we are 6 points off 6th. Also the teams above us currently we have 3 games in hand over Charlton, Crewe , 2 over Hull, 1 in hand over Sunderland, pompey, Peterborough, Lincoln. Doncaster have a game in hand on us but we still have to play them twice, Accrington have 2 games on us.

Season not decided yet, anyone down to Blackpool in 15th could storm up the table and get in the top 2. Let's hope its us. Definitely is turning in to a more exciting season than it was looking in November that's for sure.

Got in from work knackered delivering. I knew we had scored twice because papajohns texted me lol.. score twice half price.. So was hoping we won. I opened sky sports app with vidprinter then the next second Goal 90+2 shodipo 3-4 Oxford Utd.

Yaaaaaaaaasssss. Coyyyyy. Felt instantly better.

What a result.

Maybe we should change our name..............!
to - OXFORD “start the season slow” UNITED..........!
Because it is the same every season........!

Proper 'curate's egg' performance that..

On the plus side..Agyei first 20 mins, Henry performance & goal, Brannagan getting through 90 mins, last minute winner.

On the negative side..defensively uncertain, Obita anonymous, full backs poor getting forward.

100% need at least 2 signings. Need a centre back we can drop in if either of the current 2 get injured or suspended. Long has done so well at right back that it would be a shame to move him to centre back as cover. I agree that we also need 1 more wide person with out and out pace. There is no way we'll get through this season without Moore / Atkinson getting injured or suspended, so I hope our season does not get derailed with a lack of depth in key areas. Can't believe it after our start, but play offs or better is back on!!

Great to watch, best tenner I've spent in ages!!

I can't wait to see @greatunclekip write another masterpiece to document another incredible win!

I'm going with a working title of,

"s**t defence, lucky upfront!!!"
I could absolutely write a novel on tonights game! Though where to even start, a real mixed bag of utterly appalling to brilliant. But im not going to. Ill just enjoy that result i think. That was a mad night of football.

Well done to the lads for sticking at it. Well done to Robbo for changing it when it wasnt working.

What I liked about tonight’s game, In the past we would have held out for a draw as would the opponents but both Rochdale and Oxford never stopped until the final whistle. Well done Oxford we’re all proud of you COYY

It was far too early. As has been proved
Don’t agree, we were playing very poorly, were in the relegation zone at times and expressions of concern were valid, yes it’s been a great turnaround but it was never certain and so a contributor’s opinion that we could be in a relegation fight was perfectly valid.

Delighted this is an increasingly distant memory.

We agree to disagree.
A season is 46 games. No way in my view can you be in a relegation dog fight after what 12 games?
And the contributors comment was that we WERE in a relegation battle not could be.
