A good start, got an early goal, then took our foot off the gas.

There’s a big difference between patient build up play, and overly pedestrian tippy tappy football, it’s all very neat and tidy, but we need more urgency and intensity to our play.

Taylor is making a lot of good runs that aren’t being spotted, the one clear cut chance he’s had, he’s scored, and was unlucky with a lovely little flicked header.

Kane looks very good, but the epitome of the tippy tappy football that we play, if he could be a bit more brave with his passing, he could be the difference in the middle.

I wanna see us go for the throat in the 2nd half, and get the crowd going, who have been very quiet.

Three points is an absolute must today.

So many chances to break the lines through the middle not taken, we had so many bodies further forward and instead we played it back and out wide. So many chances to work it into the box not taken. We still insist on looping s**t crosses into the box rather than working one-twos and triangles into the penalty box.

Don't get me wrong, that was a good half and Kane looks fantastic. I just wish we'd use more of these players than slowly working the ball into wide positions and just looping weak, soft crosses in. Even the successful ones have dropped to Taylors head haven't had enough pace for him to work with.

With these balls Herbie Kane is playing in behind think Agyei could be good through the middle.
