Last season v Gills we were shocking take 3 out of 3 chances in last ten minutes and win
This season we dominate them have some narrow misses and draw
That’s football but what counts are wins and we would all want a scrappy dull 1 0 win because you forget how you played in a few days time and all that counts is the league position
Here’s to a scrappy 1 0 win for us on Tuesday
If that happens it’s 15 points from 10 games which is something to build on and keeps us in the playoff chase
We will not get automatic promotion this year

Short memory. For the first 4 or 5 games we were excellent every week, it’s only the last few we have wobbled.

The performance today was good enough to win despite not being anywhere close to our best and it’s just not falling for us at the moment. It’s football - you can’t always have it your own way.

Far from a sackable offence - there’s some fine tuning required but for Gods sake gather your toys up and stop exaggerating. Beat Accrington on Tuesday and we’re in the play off mix again. It’ll turn for us - today was better.
 
If games were decided based on how many times you work the ball into a man in space in a dangerous position in the opposition's final third, we'd be top of the league by a mile.

But as terrific as our attacking play is between the two boxes - and it's great at the moment - we're not doing anything right this past month in the final third.
Bad decision making, bad final balls and bad finishing. Yeah, we're not getting much luck in front of goal either, but with the quality of so much of our approach play, we shouldn't be needing it.

As it is, every game this month has made me want to tear all my hair out......
 
Gillingham one shot out of the box one goal. Us 10 billion shots 0 goals. If we had a striker who could head a ball we would win most matches. Gillingham were awful
 
Devoid of ideas, same old mistakes, yet we have a squad capable of a top 4 finish.
Try tempting MAPP back from Lincoln.
 
Stats very much in our favour, don’t know if they reflected our play meaningfully. Sounds a frustrating game but if people are having eppies because we drew with Gillingham they can’t have been watching us for long!
 
Herbie Kane was sensational today. It was a terrific team performance which we were very unlucky not to win comfortably. Sykes is a skillful player and has lots of qualities but he consistently seems to make the team play worse. It's like you can hear his brain working away whenever in a danger zone until he makes the wrong decision. Really encouraged how we stuck to our game. The goals and wins will come.
 
There is just one person who can be blamed for our failure to win that game.

I actually thought that Robinson got it right in his summing up of the game, too many chances blown at the final hurdle. Edge of the seat stuff all game but, blimey! Why can't we make the right decision in front of goal?
