I think Rodrigues is a very classy footballer. He links the play really well, wants the ball, isn’t afraid to take responsibility and works his socks off. Still more to come and we haven’t really had a chance to see his finishing yet but he’s adapted well to L1 football.
He's certainly getting better and sharper with each game...

We need a striker, not one of these wide forwards who can play anywhere across the front - we’ve had so many of those over the years.
The front 4 of Goodrham, Harris, Bodin and Rodrigues on Saturday could have shifted to have each player at striker throughout the game if needed. That's why we need these players, to provide different options for different situations, to take chances and create opportunities.

The Marriott deal still doesn’t do anything for me - it feels too much like a signing we’d have made in a rush 12 months ago.

I don’t really see what he offers that we don’t already have. More of the same is good if it means you can continue to play the same way and win but it’s crap if you need to change something and can’t.

Presumably this means Harris or Perkins will be called upon on the left when needed because Marriott is a one trick pony, positionally.

I’d much prefer Longman who is natural in a position we need, a much better age/profile and can go through the middle if needed.

Still surprised we haven't been linked with Jonathan Leko or Mo Eisa this window, they definitely seem like signings Manning would make and are from MK

Tough one for Fleetwood isn’t it. Racked up £25m of losses, owed to other companies in their owner’s empire and now he’s in prison.

Half a million isn’t really going to impact anything for them, staying in L1 may well.

Marriott may well be the one LM was confident about in his interview.

I still think we will bring in a winger, and I’d like an enforcer, but that can wait until January.

My only complaint about this transfer window is I wish we would sign a fox in the box a natural goal scorer because I think in this team we make so many chances of you had that striker he would easily score goals for fun. It could be the difference between finishing 1st or 6th

I do appreciate how Manning likes his forward players to be fluid and capable of playing across the front line

That sounds like Marriott to me?

The only players I can see being loaned out are McGinty, and Gorrin. Both to a league two club.

McGinty needs experience, and Gorrin needs to get back to full match fitness, if he's gonna secure a move, if he can get through the season without any setbacks
