Yea , still hurts but time to now move on , even if we will never get such a better chance then this. We got turned over by a hoofing tinpot Team , it happens. On to next season’s team and keeping our manager matters now.
You might well have gained respect on behalf of your club if you hadn’t come on here taking the P**s in the first place; it’s all a bit boring how Swindon, Blackpool and Wycombe’s finest brains have come on here to have a laugh at our expense. No class my friend.A ‘hoofing tinpot team’.
WWFC is so much more than this, what we have achieved this season is incredible. You won’t see a WWFC player switch off like Brown and Moore did, the planning from Ainsworth is meticulous, he signs characters and moulds them as one.
Possession doesn’t win football matches, it means absolutely naff all, we set up to have only about 40% of the ball. In league one the average goal is scored after a 3 pass move, it’s madness to think that you need to string moves of 20 passes together to have any kind of success.
You didn’t win the game because you didn’t make the right decisions at the right times, you were complacent and lacked the killer instinct.
It’s hard luck on your part but how about show WWFC the respect that they deserve for what they have achieved this season on a budget about half the size of yours.

A hoofing tinpot team is bit disrespectful in my view. I think its more a case of a well organised team that rely on set pieces for a lot of there goals, and to be honest they are not the only team in the lower leagues to play like that are they. We should have been able to deal with it but we didn't so that's that.A ‘hoofing tinpot team’.

I'm not sure we have to be dictated to on the Oxford Utd forum by fans of other teams. Wycombe however have an admiral work ethic though - I think Ainsworth could revive any team given time.A ‘hoofing tinpot team’.

They won through luck.you don’t see teams trying to only have the ball 25% of the time and only trying to have 4 chances in a game.we don’t make an error and take our chances Wycombe lose every time.He won hands down????!!!! Football is a results based business and we lost 2-1. Ainsworth set it his team to play a strong direct sort of football that wins games and does so cheaply and doesn't take time to gel. Sounds like he made the correct decisions. For me there is something honest and glorious in direct route one football. Statistically speaking tapping about results in much fewer goals that one's with less than 3 passes before it.

Still pushed Mousinho over and on a yellow card as well so simple he had to go every club will do what they can to get someone sent off it’s part of footballYou have absolutely no evidence of this.
Even if it did happen it would be karma for Mousinho’s antics back in December.
Pick fights? He wouldn’t if they were face to face, he’s just a little keyboard warrior giving it large but would tune as soon as he was confronted.Never understood why some people can't just enjoy their success without any drama. Why are you wasting your time on an opposition forum trying to pick fights? There are so many more important things in life that you could be doing.
Shame they will come straight back down, that’s if they haven’t gone into administration by the tome the season startsI'm not sure we have to be dictated to on the Oxford Utd forum by fans of other teams. I think Wycombe are a better team than they looked on Monday and have some decent players. However we have scored a whole lot more goals through our 20 pass moves, and Wycombe are the lowest scoring of the top teams in the league. That will cost you next season, as well as your inability to retain possession.A ‘hoofing tinpot team’.

Stupid comment. I did not see the game but by all accounts United did not do enough on the night. Get over it.Shame they will come straight back down, that’s if they haven’t gone into administration by the tome the season starts
Rotherham at home we made 3 massive mistakes for their goals. 2nd half we should have drawn level. Ironically baptiste missed a sitterAs a Wycombe fan you are naturally looking at what you achieved on the day for a club of your size..As Oxford fans we are about thinking it would have been better to lose the way we did to Rotherham who tore us to pieces first half with superb pass and movement at our place or Posh at theirs or a see saw game with Coventry...
You wrongly suggest that our style is not the way and madness to string passes together but we had gotten to 3rd playing that way whereas your style had you hanging on to the tails of the play offs and then a formula that nobody was aware of presented you with opportunity to get promotion so yes you got promoted and well done for that but whilst the media have gone very ott, asking or suggesting you deserve respect for what you achieved over the season is pushing it when you look at where you were at Lockdown.
