Away Match Day Thread +++ 3/2/2018 Charlton Athletic v OUFC +++

Never started one of these before, but this will be one of the few games this season I can actually attend so am absolutely buzzing for it!

Got a strangely good feeling about this. They've won three in a row in the league and no-one on this forum needs telling that we've done pretty badly recently, but I can see us nipping a 2-1 win - Ledson with a last gasp winner in front of a jubilant away end before doing his best Wolf of Wall Street impression and screaming I'M NOT f*****g LEAVING!
Impressive prediction with the Ledson last gasp winner, waiting for the WOWS impression in the interview now :sneaky:

Great win. Interesting that Payne didn't get on today for Blackburn despite them losing.

Boom. The f*****g curse has ended. That was f*****g brilliant. Who needs a 30 yard striker now a bazzer. A team with passion, pace and spirit. Lego and Carroll celebrating the winner is what this should mean to players. All that’s left is to replace mous with dickie and we will be fine.

Relegation battle my f*****g a**e mr methven

Fight, spirit and passion. The players have the ability to turn our fortunes around, it's good to see them doing that in fantastic fashion.

I am ashamed to say that I did mentally accept the nil points scenario, even before the corpulent woman had got her songbook out....:giggle:

Strikers... who needs em, eh?!

Appreciated a few more long balls today. Just that we're actually looking to switch things up to get results.

Our support was sensational throughout, the home fans were so quiet unless they were leading.

Best game of the season, and to think I nearly stayed in the pub at London Bridge and only decided to go at 2.35.

It’s amazing what pace and athleticism add to a side, thank f**k slowtets dull sideways football is over.

Has ledson just admitted that defending wasn't being trained properly under PEP. He said "credit to faz he's got us defending properly in training"

I was really impressed with Kane, Ledson and Rothwell today.

Kane's mistake (for their 2nd goal) was a complete anomaly in his performance. Solid defending against a tricky Charlton left side.
Ledson was solid, worked hard, and was vocal throughout the game. Lots of talking. That goal.
Rothwell looked great. Always asking for the ball, carried it well, and picked out passes well.

I haven't seen Henry have such an impact in a game since he has been with us. He had a good spell at Walsall away (then got subbed...!?), but fair enough to the guy - a fantastic 20 minutes.

Martin actually had a decent game, despite us conceding a couple. Mous, not so much...

Smith-Brown - Solid 7/10 debut.

Buckley-Ricketts grabbed the assist at the end, but feel he could have gone a bit more direct with his running throughout the game. That will come with a bit more confidence and match time....

Let Faz carry on for a bit....
