Step aside KR!!We don't need brilliant players though. We need a couple of strong, capable fullbacks, a bit of a head case in the midfield, our usual scattering of tippy tappy loan wingers and a lump up top, and we're going up I tell you!

Have you ever heard or known this happen before though? weve all seen plenty of times when the player is taken out of a team to protect the sale but this actually risks the sale if he gets injured. That’s the point. They didn’t want it. He wants to go and play and they’re mid-season. He has a contract to honour there until told otherwise. I highly doubt, in fact, I’ll guarantee when we opened discussions with Philly, KR nor the board saw this coming. But having come this far and got so close to what appears to be our no.1 target for the position, what would be the the sense in walking away.
Barnsley were bottom at Christmas a few seasons ago and won promotion.
What about the fella with the clump foot from GatesheadYep just a fat bloke from Scunthorpe, and a winger from Chester with a gammy leg.
Have you ever heard or known this happen before though?
Publicly? No. But I’ve no doubt it happens. And do clubs do similar things like hold off a sale until they’ve been replaced? Yes, all the time.Have you ever heard or known this happen before though?
I was amazed when I heard that interview. Could you imagine Man City ( or Derby for that matter) signing a player but agreeing to let them play on with their original team for a few more games.Have you ever heard or known this happen before though?
That interview is very disappointing, 2 games takes us to 17th July, he's hardly going to jump on a plane straight after The FT whistle, so your looking at him getting into the UK around 19th July.
I'm sure he will need time to settle his family in their new home/life so won't be training properly until 21/22nd July...
Where does it end though? At some point he needs to start building a centre back partnership with Moore, ideally before we face McGoldrick, Hourihane and co.That’s the point. They didn’t want it. Say we do that and we end up with another Ciaran Brown. A week later Findlay moves to a competitor or a championship club. I don’t even need to ask what you’d be saying.Rediculous situation with Findlay. Agree with GUK on this one. We should move on because whilst we wait other opportunities disappear.
Although, probably more examples of teams that were bottom at Christmas and got relegated.Barnsley were bottom at Christmas a few seasons ago and won promotion.

It's a strange one but fingers crossed, it works out in out favour.
That's a fair comment.Although, probably more examples of teams that were bottom at Christmas and got relegated.
injury!? he is supposed to be our first choice starting centre back,if he doesnt get bloody injured after everything is agreed.Publicly? No. But I’ve no doubt it happens But do clubs do similar things like hold off a sale until they’ve been replaced? Yes, all the time.
I actually quite like that we know exactly what’s going on. Don’t understand what there is to hate other than he’s not arriving tomorrow via Amazon prime.
wasnt that a loan back?Man City let Julian Alvarez finish the season at River Plate which has recently(ish) finished after signing him in January. That is a lot longer than a couple of games.
I very rarely follow premier League teams so it was a risky analogy!Man City let Julian Alvarez finish the season at River Plate which has recently(ish) finished after signing him in January. That is a lot longer than a couple of games.
Half the reinforcements should be here by now tho!Thankfully there's still 9 months of the season left at that point. Our squad as it is is good enough for a half decent start with reinforcements coming by the end of August to really get us going
