So in terms of proper senior pro defenders we have those 3, plus Long, Moore, Seddon and guess you can just about count Mous at a push, then again maybe not? Does that cover all the senior pro’s or have I missed anyone? Also assumes Thompson and Findlay actually sign. Really hope they do by the way.

So on that basis I’d say we need at least 2 more? RB cover (Forde should be 3rd choice at the very best in that position), and another CB I’d suggest.

But above all else def need another senior RB option. Long will no doubt be needed as CB cover at some point, or if injury persists or he gets others we are in big trouble in that position.
We have one at the moment.

I like us being an underdog in this division. We will do some good business between now and the window closing with some handy loan deals and some good permanent signings (starting with Findlay). Much like most of the doom and gloomers on here I am starting to believe that we won’t be the polished article for the opening day but we will keep ourselves in the running with the players we do have until the window closes. As in the last few years we will have a right go at the teams spending multiple millions and finish above at least a few of them, by playing our exciting attacking football under KR.

Didn’t think he had signed yet.

I’ve been in France for two weeks with dodgy Wi-Fi so only get on the forum in fits and starts, every time I manage to get a signal I see another 20 pages added to this thread so think we must have signed someone, shouldn’t have bothered.

I think the plan is that this thread is going to get locked once we actually sign someone. So if it isn't locked, don't bother.

Mind you, if the first person we sign is Sinclair the new thread will probably dwarf this one!

Seeing that Reading have re-signed Shane Long today got me thinking - if we could re-sign one active player for purely nostalgic reasons, who would it be? I suppose Roofe and Baldock are the obvious choices?

If we are to be signing what some are hoping for this week ie another 3! Signings, will they be before the Coventry game or announced on Monday?
This by far has to be one of the worst transfer windows we’ve had in years. I hope the board are aware and start wondering if they are doing the right thing or if we f**k up due to a poor transfer window, will they get rid or keep faith but change their stance on when promotion maybe?

People should be out enjoying the sunshine not stating the obvious about what a shitshow our transfer dealings are!

It's futile, it's pointless, it makes people angry and divides fans between those a bit critical and the happy clappers.
Maybe you need to enjoy the sunshine or go for a KFC Kip?

Agree, but they never seem to get the bread to bag ratio right, meaning there's either no bread, or no bags to put it in and loads of bread on the shelves.

I'm sure someone can make an analogy to our transfer window thus far out of that 🤷‍♂️

Our front line is stale, the triallists look doughy and no one has used their loaf to sign anyone. Players miss chances that my Granary could have scored - they're not earning their crust.

I can't see us rising up the league. A lot to prove if we want to be like (G)Luton Town.

The funny thing about the plan to lock this thread when we sign our first player, is that plan was suggested by mods before we signed Brown, so even the mods don't count him as a new signing.

its still got a way to move from 2nd into 1st place - the transfer window thread of 2020/21 had 4k more posts and double the amount of views.

Yeah but I’ll be back by christmas

Thinking along same lines re agents here, are there any other links with the agents of people like Holmes, Thorne, Winnall, Mackie, Jones etc…?

Hope there’s nothing in it, but agree absolutely bizarre the Sinclair situation and a few of the other calls we’ve made?

Apologies if anyone thinks I’m being harsh but it’s a valid point to think about!
Yep, a solid, durable and reliable winger definitely needed. Someone, say, like Ryan Williams :(
He's
Sounds like you should have some faith in the recruitment team then
Absolutley, especially as they have done such a marvellous job so far this window.
Not the same lot that supplied Titanic with its life boats as well are they?

There is a fallacy people on here who are rightly calling out a thus-far total shitshow of transfers, where we are possibly the only club in the 92 not to have signed someone new yet, are being confused as posters who are ALWAYS negative. If we were doing good business, I doubt many if any on here would be moaning. Some seem to think being a proper fan is just blind positivity no matter what.

I don't think our recruitment has been s**t, it's been on the better side over the last 5 years. But it's not quite the world-beating recruitment team some think it is.

When we have a shite start to this season, or injuries become a huge issue in the winner, Jerome looks useless, or Jodi gets injured, I don't want to see those trying to mock us "negative" posters now pipe up! You told us all not to worry about it...

Anyway, how was KRs tan looking last night?
Matching his Pina Colada nicely.
