Just anything other than ‘how’s things Karl?’. KR is the type to over share but you would think a decent journalist would be able to get much more from him. I’d like to see him challenged - why not ask about the lack of depth at the back and the problems that caused us last year?

In any case it’s best not to take anything he says too literally. I suspect the 3 positions referenced are deemed non-negotiable but if the opportunity came up for something else, we have room in the squad and the finances to do business. As I’ve said before I don’t see this as a window where corners are being cut.

Exactly. Unless Seddon leaves (guess we would expect a fee) then it sounds and feels like we are going to work with him. There is a good player there, but needs to be much more discliplined. The fact he started at FB ahead of Brown, who finished the season very well, speak for our intentions.

That, or we are trying to get him a move by playing him!

Our great leader has consistently said 2 or 3 and that he isn't focusing on a Left Back.

He knows his job is on the line as a result of his decisions, if he thinks our defence is fine, so be it.

I think he's wrong but I'm not a football genius.

I would say this is why we need the 5 minute fans forums back on the radio, but even then they never picked particularly any hard-hitting questions to ask.

Agree. People shouldn;t read too much into KR's comments. Lots of work still to do.

Yes Karl likes to wind people up abit how many times does he say a player isn't avaliable. Then he's on the team sheet come Saturday we are short of players and some will be sold yet or out on loan a goalie for one. There will definitely be more coming in . Maybe Kane today ?

I appreciate that. I'm not a journalist so I'm only relating it back to my own line of work where relationships are everything. I would've thought that after nearly 5 years of weekly access to Karl, they would have a rapport by now built on trust. That should be a platform to ask him more informed/probing questions which can be done without causing lasting damage - it should build a greater level of respect. Perhaps they do and I'm being harsh but it doesn't show through in their interviews with him.
