You've literally created a situation out of nothing.
Have you even read the article?
Why? It’s true we’ve gone for players in the past that are out of our reach and yes I applaud the thought in going for these players, but when they’ve gone elsewhere we do seem to struggle to get in anything to near the quality KR was looking at.
If Joseph comes all well and good as apparently he was at the Kastad on Saturday but if he goes to Sheffield Wednesday when he could have been there watching them instead, than you have to ask why?

I can think of many reasons why he could possibly chose sheff wed over us. 1. They can probably offer more in wages 2. Look at their sqaud compared to ours they should be mixing in around the top of the table 3. They're a much, much bigger club than us so they can probably go even further than getting promoted from league one much quicker than we can. And finally Sheffield isn't as far as oxford is from wales. Take your pick out of any of them and you have your answer.

I think KR is referring to another player? Joseph was at the game on Saturday. Bit odd to travel from Wales, only to say nah on the Monday…

He also travelled all the way from Wales to Sheffield. It is now up to him which of the 2 clubs he decides to join, the fact that it was a match-day is irrelevant, unless of course our performance put him off.

Because the article makes no mention of the player choosing or not choosing us. Just says that we haven't heard back yet.

Your immediate response to that was
"Have to ask why we’re not attracting players of his ilk"

There is nothing anywhere to say he has gone elsewhere but your response was to question something that isn't even in a place to be questioned yet.

The wages would not affect the choice as it is a loan deal and he would still receive his full wage from Swansea. Plus he would get more game time with us. Sheffield may be nearer to Wales but not to Swansea in particular.

Bazzer. Come on mate…

How can you be watching Oxford (he was), and watching Sheffield Wednesday at the same bloody time?

You don’t have to ask why. You’re creating events in your head and making remarks about them, when in reality, it’s a load of nonsense.

“We do struggle to get in anything near the quality that KR was looking at”

You what? Josh Murphy, Stuart Findlay, Lewis Bate etc etc. Blimey mate [emoji28][emoji2957]

Sheffield is nearly 100 miles further away from Swansea than Oxford.

I gather that Sheffield Wednesday would be the draw but as you say it’s further than little old Oxford and he would probably get more game time with us.

It may not regarding Joseph but it has happens a few times in the past, it may have been a bit presumptuous of me to say that regarding Joseph but that comment you’ve wuaitesnwasnt based solely on Joseph.

My Oxford English dictionary is old. What the hell does that word mean

Joseph won't get as much game time at Sheffield Wednesday and they're not known for developing youngsters like we are.

As someone who has decent inside track (you may or may not know or any other rumblings in the past), do you not think someone would buy us if we got into serious financial trouble?

Or is it simply the ground would hold us back too much?
My opinion (and that of pretty much everybody involved with the ownership) is that we’re screwed unless we get a new stadium. I think the investors walk without the prospect of building one and I don’t see a world where anybody takes the club on with zero prospects of ever moving, coupled with the current debts and overheads, and the lack of viable revenue streams moving forward. Financially there is nothing but an ever-expanding black hole without a new home and a subsequent better deal. Eventually it will collapse in on itself. I am personally very comfortable with referring to the situation as terminal should we be denied the ability to move.

As I said before, the team needs to be successful to put as much weight behind the move as possible. Hence why the budget is pretty incredible this season and the amount of money available for fees is enormous by our standards. If we end up with ex-footballer Jerome Sinclair given the resources available then it’s nothing short of a scandal for a variety of reasons.

I reckon he was watching Wednesday on I follow via mobile, and watching us at the same time.

He came to us, as it’s closer to Swansea. Or perhaps he was secretly going back to Martin telling him how we set up and play.

I don’t mind getting out early of the carabao cup. There’s no money in it until the later stages. Unless of course you get the Man City draw. Giving you tv money. I’d like to get knocked out of the Papa Johns early too. I’d rather concentrate on the Lge, and give the Fa cup a go for a change.
