Please could you be so kind as to amend the word used to desribe our injured players. It can be seen as a highly offensive word.
Many thanks

I find this quite interesting actually. I've never come across any offence to this word, and I've had disabilities since birth that have often left me broken, or as I would usually describe - crippled.

I'll have to think about this in future now

I think crippled and handicapped are both generally avoided now, though as with all such words they’re ok if you want to use them of yourself - as Ian Dury did with Spasticus Autisticus.

Yes of course you heard yesterday and didn’t bother to post anything.

People could check the Singapore ACRA every day or every week for a company profile but at £3 a go it’s going to add up and also relies on shareholder changes being updated.

@bazzer9461 did know yesterday as I told him.

New owners is official, to be announced at AGM I think he said Tuesday but might’ve been tomorrow!

From my source

Ok,’and about bloody time as well maybe now they will be more decisive especially over the shambles of the transfer market.

I was a visitor to Peers twice a week. I went to St Augustines but there weren't enough of us doing one subject at A level so we had to head over to the Peers science block! No uniform then luckily!

I learnt to swim at peers school, I’d go every Sunday morning, and Wednesday late afternoon, and still remember it well. At 6 year old.

So one would assume that Grant Ferguson taking up the role as chairman is the man that pulls the trigger?

The part that pricked my ears up, was that we needs to move forward, as football is changing all the time, and whilst I wholeheartedly agree with that. At this moment in time we aren’t standing still, we are skidding into a potential relegation battle.

So I’d assume that KR will probably be told, this is your aims for next month or so, and we don’t meet those targets, then it’s time to move on.

Same old B*****s. My “source”. Just putting two and two together of an agm and people in town. unless you had checked ACRA in which case you could have put that.

If it was private information that was not to be released then your source is a t**t for telling it to a blabbermouth.

Like the kid who was boasting of being in the know of the “Sartori” takeover. Probably fucked it up due to Eales getting pissed off with leaks.

This debate is going to go on and on until someone from the club speaks to the media and explains who is at the top and what they intend to do
You might think that it’s acceptable to read at that we have a new structure but in all honesty I would say the majority would like an announcement through the media with a question and answer session. That way fans could get exited about what the future has to offer and who knows may even attract more season ticket holders.
My thoughts on this still remain the same and that is we will get that announcement IF Stratfield gets the green light on the other hand IF we don’t get the go ahead they will pay the debt and we will never see them again and the club will probably fold as we have nowhere to go
Exact this! It’s really not rocket science, anyway yessssssssss, great day for OUFC

Well I can tell you it clearly wasn't private information as the person it came from was at the AGM today and is heavily involved on the board. The takeover completed last week.

So there must be a lot of twats then because there are a hell of a lot of ITK’s on here, the information may have been know but nothing was mentioned until today.
Seems you’re a tad help us of someone who heard todays news yesterday.

I heard yesterday and even though it was announced today it’s only been 9 days and not the months gone by where people have said it’s already happened.
Tbf @Colin B all o wanted to know was if the takeover had happened and peope said it had when in fact it hadn’t until 9 days ago.
But as I said at the start I heard yesterday evening.
But thanks anyway @Colin B 👍

No problem @bazzer9461

But it actually depends on your definition of "takeover" as Tiger and Pairoj ceased having a majority in June last year, so it could be stated with 100% accuracy, that at that time Horst, Erick and Anindya had a majority, so had therefore "taken over"

In respect of the two Indonesians holding a majority, then that happened on 19 September 2022. Anyway, it's a happy day, so no need for disagreements.

That’s already been told.

Big month ahead for the men’s first team. 6 league games & 2 games in the pizza cup which we are aiming to win.

I think it is still used in the USA as a word that doesn't offend, but in the UK, I believe the word was kind of pushed away the same time another word beginning with s, as both became a disrespectful connotation.

I took minutes at the takeover meeting and served everyone prawn vol-au-vants when the champagne was being poured. Even got a little kiss off Bakrie on his way out. So I knew about this first.

You've got to trust me on this one - my self esteem depends on it.

Please.

I'm disappointed that you didn't provide Hotdogs.

[edit]I am sure Colin knows enough and more to work through the shareholdings[/edit]

There has been an interpretation of various shareholders in the holding company as acting together. To simplify by country . So the Thais , Geicke , the Indonesians.
Up until last week the two Indonesians held under 50%. And today it’s been announced that they now own 51 %.

This is the “control” that I think has been waiting for EFL approval.
