New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

Nah, "Twenty's Plenty". Football's for the people. Away fans shouldn't have to take out another mortgage to buy their ticket after all it's cost them to get there in the first place.

Plans look amazing for sure and the fans of our beloved club deffo deserve it for their unwavering support. We are very much a club on the up and that is all gravy. Don't much care what the name of it is, but would be nice to have an area where fans can go and cuss each other out without repercussions? That would be cool.

Never been to a home game, but being an American fan for several years now, might as well wait for this new one to open before coming over haha.

What nationality were you previously?
Haha guess should have been a bit more in-depth friend. I am American born and raised, became a fan as a family member went to Oxford a several years ago, went to some games, and her enthusiasm rubbed off on me I guess when she talked about her experiences haha.

Only other clubs I follow are D.C. United(MLS) and Karlsruher( 2 Bundesliga and actually run the North American Fan Club for them).

As I said previously it was never about the green belt or the environment that argument seems to of disappeared
They just flip-flop around the thing they think will cause the most upset.

It’s not about the environment, traffic, parking or anything other than change in their locality with an extra dollop of classism for good measure.

Have we made it look like a done deal?? I don't think so

I still hope that the club are holding the bridge/underpass back just to say we have listened to your concerns and have now decided a bridge/underpass is the best option

I hope you’re right here.

The project is set to cost £100m, which is said to be 30% more than Brentford’s similar sized stadium using the same architects.

I wouldn’t have thought it would cost more if the same stadium were to be built at the Triangle than in West London. So unless we really do have a lot more amenities that means it will cost 30% more, perhaps there might be some budget remaining for a bridge/underpass?

Of course the £100m cost might have already been estimated based on what we’ve currently seen (stadium/hotel etc). Out of interest though, does anyone know how much a bridge/underpass from The Triangle to Oxford Parkway would likely cost?

One thing About this road closure where is everyone going at 5pm most people will be coming back home after a day out so will be going in the opposite direction
