The guy ran right past him, scared to tackle.

Reading will be running at him now, shame Negru is injured.
Thorniley is a liability he needs replacing at half time otherwise we will be down to either 10 men or losing he won't tackle now he's booked 😡

Absolutely shocking defending from both centre halves. Just gone 1-0 up, just keep your shape and be organised until HT, instead they are marking fresh air and smith nips in between both of them!!!!

will Erik helicopter in and punch that snailpaced lino?

Defence is shite attack is shite we are fighting with turn back mentality all the time. Even Calum takes a free kick in their half and goes backwards!

He wasn’t until the booking, saved two goals.

But as I said, Reading will run at him now.

Not good that......their goal did seem to be blatantly offside, but other than that they've been by far the more dangerous side.

We should have the extra man in the middle but it's not really showing. Mostly because both the Mcs just turn round and pass the ball back to our defense 90% of the time they get the ball. We need the ball-carrying McGuane back, and if he's not going to do it, we need to get Tyler on instead.

How can people not understand that Thorniley was booked - and diving in on that lad would’ve just got himself sent off (he was never getting the ball)

You can make the argument that he was way too slow to react in the first place - but by the time he was letting the guy go it was the right decision
Their player took a heavy touch and Thorniley was odds on to win it had he tried.

Bennett on for Thornley please since he is on a yellow and then put Tyler on for McEachran and put Murphy in the 10.

Apart from the goal we've done absolutely nothing, and we won't do anything good with negative players like McEachran passing back every 2 seconds when there are attacking options on the break. Nobody looks like they want to run with it, like we're playing netball with our feet. To concede so cheaply straight after scoring is criminal. Need something magical to win this because we look woeful. Defence has been rubbish and frankly we're incredibly lucky to be level with the amount of chances they had to score.

Get a grip OUFC, stop fannying around and play with some grit FFS.

McEachran and McGuane both off the pace today, the former just looks rusty as hell. Pitch looks pretty cut up which isn't helping.

Stevens again not offering us loads down the right, the odd nice one two but really hasn't stepped up since Long's been out. Just lacking composure so far.

Too slow. Too pedestrian. When we actually use the pace of Harris, Murphy and Mills (or when McGuane or CamBran go forwards instead of sideways) we look quite threatening.

But we are so so slow. And conservative. Reading are not the stronger side. But they attack quickly and with real dynamism. Every time they do crack our possession and run at us they look like scoring.

Have to say that after 45, all of Des’ big calls (Thorniley instead Bennett, Mills instead of Tyler, McEachran instead of Bodin) look dead wrong

I was hoping this would be the game that things turned around for us, so far it's just got me more worried. We'll be lucky to still be in the play offs come Christmas if this carries on.

Blimey. Take a breath.

Plus side, entertaining game and we had a buzz about us which has been missing for a few games.

At the back we are look like a disaster waiting to happen. The goal conceded is horrific - could drive a train through our centre halves and they’ve got chances through the middle of goal far too often. Thorniley looks improved but we just look a nervous wreck back there. With him being on a booking in an open game, I’d take him off.

Mills better but will tire. McEachran being pressed and looks a little rusty. Food for thought but a relief to get in at 1-1.

Disagree, yes they look dangerous on the counter but over all we have been the better team. We need to get it out wide more and run at them and get balls into the box. We grew into the game and I still think we will go on and beat them.

Second best for most of that half. To a team at the bottom of the table who should probably be ahead really.
