I'd like to see Baldock on a permanent plus Stockton from Morecambe but there'll be a lot of competition for both signatures I'd imagine.

If we're being realistic we'll need replacements for Sykes and Brannagan. Smodizc from Posh would be one.

The priority though has to be an entire new back four and a first choice keeper. This is where the money should be spent on experienced, first team ready replacements for our leaky defence.
I think we would have more chance with Baldock.
Szmodics is now a regular starter at the posh so that would be a difficult one.

Just seen Warburton saying that they are expecting West ham and Leeds to make an offer for Rob Dickie expect him to go this time. They need money to push on. Let's hope he goes for a big fee
I've browsed their forum a few times throughout the season. The general consensus seems to be that he was a world-beater for the first half of the season, but very poor since. There doesn't seem to be much disappointment that he's out for the rest of the season and unlikely to play for them again - most seem suggest they'll be happy to get £5m for him and move on.

Fans are very fickle 😁

Zach Robinson, AFC Wimbledon. Sounds like agent talk to me.

I've seen this picture a few times now and I'm starting to think @SteMerritt might be right about him being pregnant also looking at the challenge going in on him I'm thinking maybe broken leg he will be our new Sam winnall

No matter what league we’re in we need 4 better defensive players in our squad to improve this team next season: that’s a Right Back, Left Back, top quality Centre Back (alongside Moore & McNally both staying) & Defensive Midfielder (who’s better than Gorrin) then I would also would look at the goalkeeping situation If there’s still interest in Stevens then I would cash in as 1 of the 1st assets to leave ahead of anyone else if the price is right, then look to ship out Seddon whether that’s a permanent or loan for a season, 3/4 weeks ago I wasn’t overly impressed with Cion Brown that much but ever since he’s slotted into left back in the last 4 games he’s been outstanding he’d be a useful back up player next season if we are in League 1

I have no worries in KR’s ability to attract attacking midfielders & wingers that’s his speciality but he needs to learn how to build a balanced squad specially in defence & bring in players with a physical element to there game instead of always going with lightweight technically gifted players when we come up against the likes of Wycombe, Cheltenham etc where we constantly fall short time & time again against organised sides (he knew this after the playoffs Blackpool defeats last season but didn’t address this issue this season)

League 1 squad:
GK: New Number 1, Eastwood

RB: New RB & S Long
LB: New LB & C Brown
CB: E Moore, L McNally, New CB

DCM: New DCM & A Gorrin, O Smyth
ACM: J Henry, M McGuane, C Brannagan, B Bodin & New ACM

Wingers: R Williams, M Browne + 2 New Wingers

ST: M Taylor, S Baldock, New Striker

Personal I wouldn’t want Forde or Mousinho wasting our squad limit up when there’s areas on the pitch which need resolving (despite both players decent enough players to do a job when called upon)

Tyreece Simpson anyone? wants to leave Ipswich this summer (target man who can hold the ball up, powerful & pacey, link up & awareness looks very sharp & only 20) everything we’re looking for as an alternative to Taylor & Baldock

Would we be getting him because we think he's the best option available, or just to P**s off the scummers?

The latter is a perfectly good reason for signing him......but he doesn't exactly have a long track record of goalscoring. If we're going down the road of 'Young, talented but unproven' there will be a ton of options.

I can see that having signed Forde on a 12 month extension, Robinson won't want him 'wasting our squad limit'. Ummmm.

Not sure he'd want to be 3rd choice tbh, he'll want to be playing.
There’s no guarantees if Baldock does stay that he won’t pick up more injuries again so I wouldn’t call Simpson a 3rd choice specially if we play with 2 up top in current games again (4-3-3 mainly or 3-4-1-2) plus this season has been a great example that we haven’t been able to rely on the strikers behind Matty Taylor - Winnalls been a waste of space since signing constantly injured & doesn’t offer anything when he has played, Ayegi didn’t kick on from last season & went so far backwards if anything, Baldock brilliant impact but only lasted a month before his knee injury

We definitely need a younger powerful striker who can move the CBs around ABIT giving Matty chances. We all Love Matty but how long can he keep going without help. Baldock was great but if we sign will it be stop start and then we end up if Matty gets injured with one young striker but hopefully we can have Browne playing as forward like Man City have done all season.

What did he say about them?
I remember him saying before Sykes was playing for himself and should get outbid out club, I think Gorrin was the fact there was no cover and with Thorniley him leaving wasn’t addressed.

Sean Raggert on a free from Pompey? Not signed a new contract, having 4cbs of Moore, McNally, brown, raggert, with long as a reserve too would be good depth.

As much as I don’t think they have done amazing, both Holland and whyte, if not hugely expensive, would be welcome back in my eyes. The continuity of our front line would set us up well to start this season, let’s be honest, it has been good going forward this year.

Id keep herbie, and if CB stays great, otherwise, 2/3 good, strong dynamic midfielders, nobody that might play wide or cb, but proper specialists in the middle.

I’d also look for a keeper. Will be a very interesting window, my big question, does anybody in the know have any idea about CB release clause and rules this window. I know often they expire before the last year of a contract, and whilst he is fantastic, I wonder if he has become an expensive risk for some championship clubs, as he would only go somewhere he was guaranteed football!
