We have to go further than just being quiet and reponsible neighbours, we have to show that having us as neighbours is positively life-enhancing from the opportunities the facilities will offer!
Tragically there will be an element of hooliganism and I can’t see it being eradicated.
The incidents I’ve seen at the Kassam this season have only been 4/5 with the MK game being the last one I saw.
If we as a club can prevent issues especially when we move all well and good, but we would have to have in place something for the away supporters, that’s why I mentioned MK dongs and never expected that.
But if we can be seen to promote a good safe environment for home and away supporters which might get the locals thinking we are doing something positive. Then that’s half the battle one.
As you say if the facilities non offer would prove to be very beneficial to the local community as well as further afield then even better.

Proper concourses under the stands where fans can stay after the game and celebrate/drown their sorrows would eradicate most of the girls swinging their handbags. Most of the problems come from fans exited the kassam on the way to the ozone. Keep them in longer and they will disperse not in a crowd.

I was told that the wall between the home and away in the both stand is used which it is to prevent confrontations however what about the other end? I’m told they disperse. Sorry to rain on anyones parade but they don’t you still get groups of away fans walking and chanting songs which can be provocative, however if they kept them in for 15-30 mins that would give the first response and Old bill a chance to move on any unsavoury home fans before any potential flash points.

At Stratfield Brake it will be easy to escort the away fans to the station/park and ride. We don't have that option at the kassam .

I've seen no incidents at the Kassam for a good few years now.

Precisely. Plus there are loads of other ways of managing large crowds, which could be built inot the stadium and the wider development.

As previosuly mentioned, dispersing people by encouraging some to remain on site post game, as well as encouraging people to the site pre game is a great option. Sure this will be a part of any plan.

Almost certainly would go against the stadium. Hopefully that isn't legally binding.
It’s amazing what can be overturned. In Grendon Underwood a proposal to build a massive super prison was turned down by Bucks Council. Local MP was very active opposing it. Ministry of Justice have predictably appealed and no doubt will get it approved.
All this in an area that already has 2 prisons and recently has had an incinerator built and put up with HS2 and EWR construction traffic.
Local views just don’t count when shove comes to push.

you do this with every piece of news you hear about the stadium.you dont know anything about what is going to happen.

Nothing to worry about here, it’s perfectly normal for these things to happen. The residents are quite right to voice there concerns, as they are entitled to do so. The green belt part doesn’t concern me too much. If they can allow homes to be built near by, then they can allow a stadium to be built, with all the bits that come with it. The residents in Kidlington would benefit from local sports facilities, so they will be adding to noise and small amount of pollution anyway.

In the grand scheme of things we will be moving in to Stratfield Brake in 2026.
