Wow that Taylor is some dirty player, on any other day he could have had 3 red cards! Instead the Blackpool goalkeeper (and captain) gets a yellow card for questioning why an offside decision wasn't given when 3 Oxford players were 10 yards offside! Ballard had his eyes gouged. Stewart had studs down his knees. Maxwell had a late challenge on his ankle. All went without punishment. How bad are officials? We have had so many reds for much less.
You’ve won cheer up ffs

Two full seasons with decent budgets, poor starts to both seasons, how would he fare at other clubs? The Tranmere manager gets sacked after 6 months, with them sitting in the play off places.
Would he not have achieved promotion by now if he was ever going to?
Talking about caring for the fans and club is one thing, actually coming up with the goods is another. He is very clever verbally, but limited tactically.

3 full seasons you mean. Agree with everything you said though.

Guaranteed you can look around the forums for every team and there will be fans calling for the manager’s head. Tranmere sacked Keith Hill after they made the playoffs and the fans were thrilled about it!

‘We only made the playoffs when we should have made the autos - sack the manager.’
‘We’ve missed the playoffs - sack the manager.’
‘We’ve stayed up but that’s not good enough - sack the manager.’
‘We’ve gone down. It’s all the manager’s fault. Sack the manager.’

There’s a case to be made for wherever you finish for the manager to go depending on ambitions. I’d say KR is meeting his objectives and the next step is to surpass them. He’s good but he needs to prove he’s great.
Read the Mackems forum for their defeat to Lincoln and there are something like 190 pages on that match and see how many comments there are calling for Johnson’s head.

Next season he has to deliver

The same player who should have had a red for taking down sykes in the 1st leg. And the same player who handballed in the area in the 1st leg. Refs eh!
And Turton should have gone should have had a yellow for the pull back on Sykes ambit gets one for the same offence against Shodipo

I’d take you a bit more seriously if you could understand the offside rule - they were all played onside by the fact the ball came off your player. It’s not a new rule! He didn’t question the decision, he abused the official and he was wrong. Right about some of those challenges, though given that you should have had a player sent off in the first 10 minutes of the first gam, it all evens itself out.

I didn't say he did it well! I more meant he was very selfish, didn't track back much at all, pulled out of tackles, generally being lazy in the areas it mattered to the team.
That was my point, hardly a way to make Championship scouts take notice of you is it!

Portsmouth sacked their manager and... we beat them to the play offs (they had a far higher budget to us)
Sunderland sacked their manager and... didn't get automatic promotion.
Ipswich sacked their manager and... didn't make the play offs.
Charlton didn't make the play offs So all has a far higher budget than us. Sacking your manager often doesn't work.

Thoroughly enjoyable game. Was always gonna be an uphill task but we didn’t fold so huge credit. Can’t believe people are calling for the managers head, get a grip!
Our chances of a genuine promotion challenge rest in keeping the team together and adding quality in the place of the likes of Forde.
Could be an exciting summer if the takeover now goes through.
That’s quite positive for someone who spent all week whining about how he’d watching something else and then became miraculously blessed with the gift of aftersight as to how we would get thrashed.

Turton should have gone for two yekkowsnbaltant pulling back two players first Sykes no action nd for the pull back on Shodipo. It’s a bookable offence. Husband should have been booked for his retaliation towards Sykes who quite rightly was booked. But that’s crap officials for you and I was hoping we had left the crap officials after Tuesdays crap officialdom.
But good luck in the final

3 years and 6 transfer windows he's had and everyone can see where he fails, lack of decent depth in the squad and signing crocks everytime. We just got beat by a Blackpool squad that had a new manager and a near on full new squad in the summer.

We've made the play offs 2 years running. It is a long time since we've consistently been in the promotion race in L1, a long time. Your knicker wetting tonight is impressive.

Completely agree with what Robinson just said on sky about needing more power and athleticism. We are neat and tidy and the likes of Sykes and Brannagan, although slight in stature, can get stuck in but there’s clearly more physical presence needed in midfield, out wide and up front.

I think McGuane will add that in midfield as he had earlier in the season but we do need more.

The chanting.

No face masks

No social distancing
Its called getting behind your team everyone banters other teams.

There were plenty of face masks worn but I took mine off after a while, after chanting so much its hard to breathe, plus was nowhere near anyone.

Everyone was spread out. There were st holders in their groups of families etc but they are allowed together.

Also I dont get you argument, the wider rules are people are allowed in groups of upto 30 people outside at pubs for eg. But yet outside in a stadium you dont like a few people near each other, but its ok at a pub........not sure why its one rule for one set of people somewhere and different rules here.

Anyway was a nervy game, we conceded a few sloppy goals unusually, scored some good ones too.

Oxford played well in spells we kind of sat back and defended what we had a little too much but I suppose circumstances can make that happen.

I would have liked us to keep the ball a bit better like we can at times.

But we got the job done and has some great attacking moments.

Hard luck and you kept going and didn't give up so fair play.
