great win, well done lads!!

but, our attendances are truly shocking [emoji3525]

One thing that tonight showed was that you can easily get away with not playing Gorrin if you have Kane and Brannagan in the middle. Towards the end of last season we had Brannagan playing the deeper role, but then we lost his ability to play progressive passes from further up the pitch. With Kane alongside him, it really doesn't matter because regardless of whichever moves back, the other is further up the pitch and capable of moving the ball on quickly.

‘We’re going to give someone a right stuffing soon, all the signs are there’.

You know I can’t resist it @ECYellow 😉

Credit where it’s due mate and in all honesty, i’m delighted that you was right! I had a rye smile in the SSU during the 2nd half thinking about our debate.

Long may the free flowing, goal scoring continue. COYY’s!

but, our attendances are truly shocking

It was no different to the crowd we got against Accrington on a Tuesday night in 18/19 or 19/20. They're basically the least glamorous draw in League One and they only bring 80-odd themselves!

In 14/15, under Appleton, the Accrington game only drew 4111 - now that would be a shocking attendance.

Great that the lads showed up for me tonight. I knew that they needed a lift and that I had to be there, fuel shortage or otherwise. From the moment that I was ushered through my private entrance and handed a glass of champagne, with a flustered and starstruck “Welcome back, sir” from the visibly aroused, large-breasted hostess, I had a feeling that it was going to be a good night. I was too tired to make love to her, due to a brisk jog across the car park.

Overall a very satisfying performance, with Nathan Holland particularly catching the eye. Lovely little assist to go with two well taken goals. My feelings for Matty Taylor were stirred, his delicious chip causing my trousers to tighten, and wonderful to see Mark Sykes adding some end product to his ‘busy’ game. Herbie Kane, the oldest looking 22 year old outside of Nigeria, was a delight in midfield. If he is still working his way to full fitness then he really could be a cool cat. Good to see him mixing it up like a ruffian as well as playing some exquisite passes. Needs to let go of what’s left of the hair and just go for a short shave, mind.

Yes, a most triumphant return indeed. I didn’t even have the desire to talk in depth about how Luke McNally was a borderline liability for parts of the game, causing his own teammates to visibly lose their rag multiples times, as well as his manager when he caused a goal to be kicked in by the other lot. He’s got a very long neck. Possibly the longest I’ve seen. I have faith that he will learn to use such a length effectively.

The season starts now. Roll on Saturday.

Large breasted hostess eh? I keep meaning to try the SSU

McNally has a very small head as well as a long neck, quite striking.

He gives more credit than most opposition managers tbf but I do disagree with one point he makes; based purely on iFollow, the header that hit the post didn't cross the line as Forde was stood on the pitch side of the goal line and it went straight to him.
I think you have to give the opposition credit when you've been spanked 5-1. But is he being serious saying Accrington were the better team in the second half... we could, and should, have scored 2 or 3 more in that half.
