Short memory. For the first 4 or 5 games we were excellent every week, it’s only the last few we have wobbled.

The performance today was good enough to win despite not being anywhere close to our best and it’s just not falling for us at the moment. It’s football - you can’t always have it your own way.

Far from a sackable offence - there’s some fine tuning required but for Gods sake gather your toys up and stop exaggerating. Beat Accrington on Tuesday and we’re in the play off mix again. It’ll turn for us - today was better.
We were not "excellent" in the first five weeks unless we have extremely differing opinions on what excellent means.

It’s all so indifferent, isn’t it?

The atmosphere at the Kassam is nothing short of dire these days. Anybody that suggests otherwise is deluded.

Meanwhile on the pitch, well i’m not sure what to say. We were better today compared to last week but Gorrin just isnt robust or a good enough technician with the ball, to play as the deep lying midfielder in a team that has aspirations for a promotion challenge. 4 times today he gave the ball away while under no pressure at all.

Taylor took his goal well but remains isolated.

Robinson: what can you say?

I’ve walked away again today feeling totally flat and so indifferent about the whole matchday experience. Something, maybe many things aren’t quite right but for the love of god, i just cant put my finger on it.

Very frustrating day at the office!

A few thoughts:

Good first 15mins, but very pedestrian for the the last 30mins of the first half, with too much slow, tippy tappy, sideways and backwards passing. We took our foot off the gas, when we should've been pushing for a 2nd.

Much better 2nd half, played with more urgency, and created loads of chances, but as usual, our decision making in the final third let us down.

It's beyond frustrating. We pass when we should shoot, shoot when we should pass, cut the ball back, when we should hit it across the face of goal, but hit it across the face of goal, when we should cut it back!

We cross to the front post, when we should be crossing it to the back post, but cross to the back post, when we should be crossing it to the front post!

AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!

However, I thought Whyte had his best game since returning, he did some good work on the left, and coming inside, and then switched to the right in the 2nd half, and looked like the Gavin Whyte of old. Take note Robbo!

After a slow start from Long, it was good to see him getting better and better as the game went on, he grew into the game, and was much more influential in the 2nd half.

Herbie Kane looks class. He set up Taylor's goal well, but after that, I felt he was being a bit too safe with his passing in the first half, but in the 2nd half he showed how influential he's gonna be to our play this season, and it was refreshing to see us having such quality control of the ball in the middle of the pitch.

And why oh why put Agyei on in injury time, again, what's the point? It's almost as if Robbo is determined to not give him a fair crack of the whip!

We really need to work on our play and decision making in the final third, both movement off the ball, to provide the right options, and the final ball itself, and the finishing!

All the moving parts are there, it's just about finding a system that works, and getting things to click, and if we can do that, I feel there's still hope for this season.

We're gonna give someone a spanking soon, hopefully Accy on Tuesday...

It was, but no point trying to decipher why we can’t win games we should win ( but no game is a guaranteed win no matter how well you play.) Nothing seems to have fallen for us in the last 4 games well they better fall for us right in the next game as the two after will be a lot tougher than the last 4 games.

The club should offer free season tickets to all of the former ultras. The atmosphere is bleak.

We played well in those games, but excellent?
Love it, the some old quotes that come out of the kr handbook on excuses and blaming others.
Sorry with the squad we have, they don't wash after being persistently used after AFC, Gillingham etc.

Not for me. I paid £440 for my ST so dont sit in the camp where people should get ST’s for free
I admire your posts as much as any other poster on this forum but the manager nor the team let the fans down today. The team did as much as possible to win the game and on another day we would have won by 3 or 4 goals. It was the fans job to create the atmosphere today and it was abysmal. Not even the deliberate winding up by the opposition fans could get a reaction.

Sorry karl. the same old excuses you are coming out with week on week don't wash anymore. Have him back at the drop of a hat.
Excuse me for not taking you seriously but you'd get rid of Tyler Goodrham at the end of the season and don't rate Jack Stevens. You were also amongst those screaming for MApp to be sacked in his first season. Your footballing knowledge would embarrass my 5 year old!!

Looking at the stats we dominated that game, except for fouls commited. But I would love to see stats for time wasted compared to time added on by the ref. That would be very interesting.
