Tickets Season Tickets 2023/24

Whether we sell 5.5 or 6k season tickets will not make a blind bit of difference to the transfer policy.
The end game is to be top 30 and have a shiny state of the art stadium for 2026. We could conceivably look like brentford or Brighton come 2030. The rewards at this point could be huge.
However, Anyone who buys OUFC within its current constraints firstly and inevitably needs to be prepared to take an initial hit…which basically means you need to bankroll it.
Rest assured, manning will have the budget to be in the promotion mix.

What about FFP ?

Surely we can expect a surge in new season tickets from folk who are paid on the last working day of the month. The Stanley Mills signing should help as well.

You never know, there may even be a 5,000 sold announcement!!

Saw some intel this afternoon which said 4686 general admission season tickets sold to date of which probably doesn't include the boxes and that associate malarkey gathering.

Also to clear up the Cambridge ticket amount numbers this stands at a give or take a few anomalies 1465.

Hopefully, after today's game and I know it was only a PSF but after Brannagan had put us 1 nil up the next 55 minutes witnessed was impressive and anyone at the game today who maybe is a 'sit on the fence attendee' (no pun intended) just might give his/her wallet/purse a re-shaping and push this number up and over the 5k mark.

Does it look like the club are counting season tickets only, rather than the hospitality boxes and associates into their figures this season or is this always the case.
Obviously come match day they will be included in the official attendance but as season tickets sold they won’t count.

Because according to your very accurate figures we should be well past 5000 by now

With this in mind have we sold more season tickets at this stage (4686 as previously mentioned) than last year

I was going to do a count tomorrow, as it's the end of the month, and seven days since my last count, but you've prompted me to do it a day early.

All I can say is that the figures coming out of the club this year make no sense, and do not tally either with my figures, the figures from @Thecurraghofkildare nor the figures from previous years.

To explain, I now have us at 5,659 which is 180 up on six days ago. At the 31st July last season I had us at 4,839 using exactly the same counting method, so we are over 800 up on same stage last season. From memory (and I'll look it up later) I had us slightly ahead of 4,500 when the club announced that figure, but only slightly. I cannot understand why, when I'm showing well in excess of 500 extra sales since that point, we haven't announced 5,000. Last season, using exactly the same method, I was very very close to the actual figure that then club announced as its final sales figure.

Edit: On 5 July, when the club announced 4,500, I had us at 4,950. Since then (even if I was 450 out, which I don't believe I was) we have sold an extra 710 tickets, so we MUST be over 5,000 now, as the club's 4,500 + 710 = 5,210.

I've just been to the ticket office to buy Bristol City Tickets and asked about the sales - (not total, but volume). They say still 5 or 6 a day. We had 800 Bristol City Tickets initially and are selling the second batch currently

Bought ours today (3) but on Saturday around 660 had been sold. So, the five to six a day seems to tie in with what you've been told and we are probably edging around 700 as I post. Get a decent start on Saturday and I'd expect at least a thousand will follow the yellows to Brizzleshire.

Have a very similar overall dot count to Colin - 5,660 seats showing as gone. Even allowing for 460 of these being 'reserved' rather than 'sold' (in blocks identified in previous post), that still leaves sales at 5,200 which also almost exactly tallies with Colin's separately calculated figure of 5,210 above (based on additional sales since the club's 4,500 announcement).

So I really don't understand how we could be at a 500+ lower figure of 4,686 - not doubting the bona fides of the poster, it's just the maths doesn't work! But equally I don't understand why the club haven't announced 5,000?🤷‍♂️

Curragh, maybe I am being stupid here, but how can you count just STs now on the basis that the Carlisle match tickets are on sale and predumably are selling in numbers.
Doesn't that screw your ST dot counting?

No, there's a separate Season Ticket screen available.

Interestingly though, there are a few anomalies between that and the Carlisle and Charlton screens. Only a handful of seats are involved, just over 50, and even taking that into account, we MUST by all metrics currently be comfortably over 5,000.

I'd guess that the Season Ticket purchase page has a its own screen

I emailed Adam Benson, but he is away for a few days but still took the time to reply. He said that updates can be expected soon, but sounded very positive about everything.

My gut feeling is that whilst there have been some really positive steps forward, there is still much more that the club can do regarding communications. We announced sales of 4000 ST's on 16th June. That's over 6 weeks ago and there's barely been a mention of ST's since.

We know that sales will slow after the early bird offers and the rush of those looking to get the direct debit options, so we could and should have been looking to make announcements based on every increment of 250 or even 100.

We should have certainly declared that we had gone past last season's total and could have added more promotions - ie. A draw for a new shirt signed by all new signings for all ST holders once we hit 5000 (or higher).

Imagine having one shirt that is laid out and signed as part of every new signing montage along with a push for ST sales every time?

It feels that the club are happy with being OK, and better than last year, rather than being really pushing for every single sale. Positives are there but lots and lots more needed.

That capitalised 'MUST' gives us all a window into the daily tensions that a dot-counter feels.

That also doesn't stack up as we've consistently been selling 30 or so a day for the last three weeks. There is something really weird going on with our season ticket sales, and the club's lack of recent communication surrounding them.

It's almost like they're trolling us!

Out of interest, I wonder what happens if someone wants a season ticket in a certain seat, but against say Carlisle and Port Vale (3rd home game), that seat has already been sold on a match by match basis? Can season tickets only be bought for where there are no advance seat sales yet?

Just curious as to how it works now that the first batch of matches are available on a game by game basis, and there must have been a fair number of sales certainly for the first couple of those games if not others too.

the very approachable and polite man in the ticket office told me this - so who knows whats what?

On the subject of tickets, I see that the restaurant is now priced at £90.00 per person or £60.00 if you are a season ticket holder. Looks like Frankie & Benny's will be getting our business again!

£90/£60 a head? Blimey, what do you get for that?
