Home Match Day Thread +++ 27/04/2019 OUFC v Doncaster Rovers Match Day Thread +++

That was no handball by Henry. We should have blown them away In any event though.

Doncaster a curate’s egg. I’d love to have Marquis here; he’s strong and mobile while Wilks is distinctly useful. Their centre backs had the pace of a pair of maiden aunts though. If they are the sixth best team in the league though things look good for us for next season.

I got a horrible feeling that was a goodbye wave from Whyte. Hope I’m wrong.

Thought the directors footling onto the pitch post match was distinctly odd. The crowd did not er ... raise the roof.

Anyway we haven’t had such an entertaining end to the season for years. Brilliant stuff on pitch.

My view of today was that it was an excellent and entertaining game of football. It was a pleasure to watch at times.

Such a shame that YET AGAIN some (at best incompetent, and at worst downright dishonest - IMHO) awful game management by the officials has spoiled a bloody good game. Sorry, but if these people want respect..they HAVE TO EARN IT! It's simple really. Don't cheat(Lino) don't be biased (ref) and overall just be consistent.

Finally...People have been saying that "if we had played this way at the start of the season, where could we have ended it?" Fair point, but I suspect if we had..In January, the performing loanees would have been called back by their parent clubs and the 'perms' would have been sold. It's a marathon not a sprint, aftterall.

Looking forward (Strangely) to the Lootown game....lets finish on a high! COME ON YOU YELLOWS! ??

I suppose it was nice to see them all at a game, eventually. If they didn't care at all, then they wouldn't have come. There was a mix of some booing and some slow hand-clapping (I think booing was a bit much but I did partake in what some could call sarcastic applause) - I do hope this doesn't put the directors off, and instead encourages them double their efforts to get the fans to appreciate them.

Felt slightly embarrassed myself with the response but you reap what you sow, they need to engage with the fan base more, just be as honest as you possibly can allowing for any confidences that have to be kept.
