+++ 25/01/20 Newcastle United v OUFC FAC +++

Lovely stadium, couldn't believe how quiet they were tho. Never seen so many bleddy stairs in my life mind you.

No, as when we give a team the entire north stand it is literally impossible for us to win the game due to the unbelievable, massive boost it gives the other team. It’s why we got relegated don’t you know...

Tying in to a game beforehand is something that we often used to do.
It always guarantees a bigger gate for the nominated home tie and I think we would be silly not to do it for the Blackpool game. Timing isn’t perfect with it being so close, but as long as it is well publicised, then I think that we could turn a pretty decent crowd in.
Keeping the ticket stub to redeem for a cup ticket makes sense.

I remember when we went to Highbury under Atkins (2002-ish?).
They'd tied the ticket sales to having a ticket stub for the preceding game against Exeter.
However they then made the slightly stupid decision to open up ticket sales immediately after the final whistle of that game.......and given that there was always going to be more demand than supply, this meant that about half the crowd went outside to queue at halftime, and the second half (which included four goals in a 2-2 thriller) was played in front of a mostly empty stadium!

Don't think there's anything wrong with the concept - just hopefully they can do it electronically nowadays! If you buy a ticket for the Blackpool game, you get priority for Newcastle tickets.

If the replay is on TV, does anyone know when the game would be played?

as an aside to yesterdays away result and performance.... the kit? who decided on the yellow with blue trim 'home' shirt, with white shorts and socks? its not the best combination! ( basically a 'Home' kit shirt with away kit socks and shorts)

why not wear Yellow sock and shorts, the 'home'- yellow with blue trim- shirt really doesnt look right with white socks and shorts, IMO

can understand why the team didnt wear navy blue shorts , 'clash' with Newcastle's black shorts, all yellow , which has been worn several times this season already ( If memory serves), wouldve looked a lot better, I think
Sounds like you’re describing that scarf of yours! ;)

Tuesday 4th Feb, and Wed 5th. They are the replay dates.

Tottenham and Southampton is Wednesday for certain, because one or both teams play Prem Lge games on the Sunday. That doesn’t mean it will be televised though.

Liverpool will beat Shrewsbury, need a result in the Arsenal Bournemouth match and then I reckon we are nailed on for the Tuesday with spurs Southampton on the Wednesday. Results have been going our way so far.

But The Liverpool line you is a bit disrespectful for their competition when you consider what other prem teams are putting out
