Better team on the day won today. We haven't got enough guile in the middle at the moment and I include all of them. The team was poor today and again I include all, certainly of the starters. The loss of Marcus McGuane is showing in games like this for me as he is a different type player. Tbh, I hope we do but don't think we are quite good enough to make the play offs.

I don't think the midfield is good enough full stop. There isn't enough steel in there to win the ball back when we don't have it and not enough quality to keep the ball and do something constructive with it when we do. Without a decent midfield, there is always pressure on the defence and the strikers don't have enough quick, quality supply to be able to constantly threaten. Add in some players some players who can veer wildly between quite good and pretty bloody awful from game to game (Kelly, Hanson, Sykes are examples, but not exclusive members of this club!) and you have a team that is probably about in the correct place in the table. Too good to be threatened with relegation (and perhaps after the start to the season, we ought to be satisfied with that!) and not quite good enough for promotion.

Not going to get carried away tonight just as I didn’t get carried away after Doncaster , collectively we was poor , roll on the cobblers.

Rather predictably, once again get into a position to really challenge for a play off spot and they don't turn up again and bottle it. Go from handbrake off 4 days ago and brilliant to trying to be solid making sure not to lose and getting nowhere. Brannagan 4 days ago brilliant in an advanced role behind the striker, played virtually just in front of the back 4 all game this time. Gorrin played as if he was told not to get booked and didn't tackle anyone all the time he was on. Kelly was the one who seems to shrink the most when the pressure is on, it was totally woeful. Hanson demonstrated again that he is not a right back.

It seemed clear that the Blackpool high press and the flooding of midfield meant that a more direct approach was needed, a 4-4-2 with 2 fast wingers was the tactical switch needed very early on. It didn't happen. Concerned how one dimensional our team really is and the team just can't handle any sort of pressure situation. Without a Plan B and Plan C to offer an element of surprise we are too easy to play against when we face the better more organised opposition.

WE had wingers, we just couldn’t get the ball to them. We needed more in midfield if anything, not less.

We are a good team but short of being a play off team. The season will fizzle out and we will finish around tenth.

Kinda agree except when you look at the run in. Play offs are ours to lose

On the pitch we are probably 3 quality players away from a real promotion push.

Off the pitch we have the investment to get to the championship but we don't have the infrastructure to stay up there, the kassam is barely fit to host league 1 games let alone championship.
Think it will be more than 3 quality players, regarding the ground whether it’s a reboot of e Kassam or a new stadia elsewhere will they invest to get us into the championship before the ground is ready or built?

I would like to think the club might make an effort in getting McGuane in and yes if he had been playing today he alone may have made a difference.

Today was a great chance to see that we are a team worthy of a playoff place, failed miserably, much as we all want that to happen, i think now realistically we may be looking at another season in league one. Hopefully a decent preseason and one or two decent signings this time, not just because we lost today, we have been too inconsistent over the season.

Good question, you could say if we are due to move to a new stadium in the next 4 years then wouldn't it be better to wait to be promoted so we can really maximise the sponsorship opportunities and get alot more oxfordshire residents attending to a nice shiny stadium and also while they are there spend money in the other retail units around the stadium.

I think the manager agreed, as he didn’t make it past half time!
I actually thought Gorrin was as bad as Kelly today. Kelly getting stick, rightly so, because his mistake led to a goal but Gorrin's inability to fine his man from ten yards away, almost led to a goal too.
