Don't think it was the defence that made this performance or win. Crewe had their chances at 0-0 , the difference was our midfield won the battle and instead of passing backwards we actually played through them and used the width of the pitch we were also clinical in front of goal.

That was Mark Sykes’ best 90 minutes for Oxford. Unbelievable close control at times, fast feet and strong running.

He looks a quality player when playing at that level and all he needs is a goal.

That was a strong team we put out today and it clicked.
