Half-time thoughts:

I actually think we generally weathered the aerial bombardment fairly well, but you can’t keep giving them the opportunity to pump the ball into your box from long throw ins, just by the law of averages eventually they are going to get a bit of luck with one, as they did.

We’ve played ok at times, without ever really getting going. Josh Ruffels is having one of his occasional dodgy games, and Sam Long is being unusually quiet. For me Matty Taylor has done pretty much nothing, I’d like to see Dan Agyei come on and maybe offer a different kind of threat (but we’ll probably get Sam Winnall instead, who I can’t see unsettling this Gillingham defence)

Oh, and the ref - he’ll probably get defended by some on here, as always seems to happen, but once they’d scored then Gillingham kicked the ball away, quite blatantly, every time a decision went against them. Also, I can absolutely promise you, that the ball was out of ply for much, much, MUCH more than the measly two minutes he added on. Two minutes! That’s quite literally a sick joke

Showing our naivety here, on the touchline as well as the pitch.

Need to wise up and sharpen up. Lose this and that really is it.
Some very, very naive play. Far too much ball watching and not enough movement - we are just second to react and not looking for a quick break out.

I hope the yellows prove otherwise in the second half but it really does seem that we flatter to deceive to keep things at a annoying interest level when KR probably knows we'll fall short himself. He said in the Ox Fail that he and his team have to power to make fans happy or sad in just 90 minutes of every weekend and boy is he toying with us all over again right here right now. Ffs sort it out and give it a go.

Horrible little team...

This doesn’t feel good.

Being suckered in by Evans yet again.

just because you dont like Robinson.
Here comes Poirot. “You just don’t like the man who you openly say that you don’t like!”

The commentary team on RadOx criticised Robinson for falling for Evans’ games and antics before I did. Give them a text after the game and have a pop at them.

You think the man is never wrong, which makes you as bad as anybody you believe never thinks he’s right.

Have a sit down and a cup of tea.

We seem to have turned into a team of ballwatchers. No one prepared to get in there. We miss Sykes and Barton for outlets but we have to stop tippytoeing about. Brannagan look before you pass and settle down everyone and play our game

Barton? Like, the whole of Barton? Not sure that’s allowed?

you thinks hes always wrong just because you didnt like his personality when you met him once.

Games like this I think we miss the experience of Mous on the pitch. Moore has been good since he became captain but is he perhaps a little too nice? Coming off the pitch it was Jack Stevens having a go at the ref, you have to imagine if Mous was playing (or even Mackie) they'd be in the refs ear making sure he's aware of the cheating. In general OUFC are too nice on the pitch, but I wonder if the lack of experienced heads doesn't help that.

After the Acrrington result I was pissed off but then got over it and was looking forward to next season, then comes 2 wins and playing like Barcelona and we are with a shout again, so looks like tonight I'm going to be pissed of again.

Get our heads straight and wise up and we can get something out of this easily.

The beer is ready for the shower. Come on!

Of late that sounds like being a typical OUFC supporter!
