Good win that, especially as it could have gone pear shaped when they equalised. Wasn't totally enamoured with Holland not closing down the cross, but really barely anything negative to report. Albeit less said about Henry's penalty the better

Very good game from Taylor, Sykes and the back line was pretty solid too aside from one dodgy Moore pass. Enjoyable stuff too, so hopefully some of the bumper crowd will be back.

Morecambe were like Bolton - dangerous going forwards, but an absolute sieve at the back. But we're playing better now than we were when we went up to Bolton, so we had enough about us to get the three points despite not being at our absolute best in midfield today (Taylor was outstanding, and the back four did pretty well as well).

Feeling good about our playoff chances right now.
November will be when we get a sense of whether the automatics are in play this year. Ipswich, Wigan & Rotherham on back-to-back Saturdays will really show us where we stand......

With so little game time I thought McGuane showed plenty of pace. Had an immediate impact on proceedings. I was just praying he would not overstretch himself.

Just got back, good game overall and the correct result. Could of been further ahead at half time but we wasted a couple of decent chances, first 10 minutes of the second half we were lucky to still be ahead with Morecambe missing a sitter. The penalty looked soft and probably was right that Henry skied it. Their goal was a great strike and it seemed to give us the kick up the a**e we needed. 2 very well worked goals sealed the game.

On to the crowd was good to see the stadium so full and the concourse in the North stand looked alot cleaner then it has for years. Noise was a bit flat at times but so was the team. Also those in the North stand who were constantly moaning about the atmosphere coming from the east stand how about you go and join them!.

Enjoyable game! I thought Morecambe were great and it was a really hard fought win. Disappointing that we conceded so much of the midfield at times- we missed Brannagan, but I think Gorrin’s position could be upgraded.

I thought that we were nowhere near our best but we still managed to create chances.
What a finisher Matt Taylor is. At the moment he is playing as well as anytime he has been with us.

No, probably not. That Morecambe goal and our missed penalty could have scuppered the whole deal.
