Brilliant!Shodipo looks totally out of form. I reckon his shot at the end may have passed the International Space Station.

I donβt think any of their players came out of that game with any credit but all of our players were good, Barker and Sykes were the best on the day, just need to do it on a regular basis.Their keeper was not dreadful, not only did he save the penalty, he saved 2 good chances for Sykes and Henry. His defence let him down though.
Try being in the London road when Liverpool came visiting! That was an eye opener.I was up there for the 3-2 win against Arsenal in '84/5 Milk Cup, there was a really hostile atmosphere, which was an eye opener for a 12 year old.
Retire now!!!!We win 6-0

I had Minella Times in the work sweepstake and bet on it as well
There were a few similar experiences at the Manor ( in the London Road End ) tooTry being in the London road when Liverpool came visiting! That was an eye opener.
Agree with that. He maybe could have done better on Moore's goal, but then so could their defence. Also, the goal kick for the 2nd goal which he takes a share of the blame along with the defenders, albeit I don't think he gets any blame for not stopping James Henry's shot.
Or on the far right side when Birmingham arrived, or when Man City came across the pitch...Try being in the London road when Liverpool came visiting! That was an eye opener.
Dad wouldn't let me in the LRT until I was 16, so spent the top flight years in the Osler I watched the carnage when Pompey came and tried to take the LRT in 85? from the safety of the Osler.Try being in the London road when Liverpool came visiting! That was an eye opener.
My old man (GRHS) wasn't into football so I went on my own from the age of eight!!! Innocent times.Dad wouldn't let me in the LRT until I was 16
Let's not mention Luton in the semi finalDad wouldn't let me in the LRT until I was 16, so spent the top flight years in the Osler I watched the carnage when Pompey came and tried to take the LRT in 85? from the safety of the Osler.
I'd pop and get yourself a lottery ticket tonight if I were you!We win 6-0

84. First home game of the season.Dad wouldn't let me in the LRT until I was 16, so spent the top flight years in the Osler I watched the carnage when Pompey came and tried to take the LRT in 85? from the safety of the Osler.
The 1-1? Was there for that and the second leg at their place.Let's not mention Luton in the semi final
Oh didn't we have fun in the old days!Or on the far right side when Birmingham arrived, or when Man City came across the pitch...
Yeah that's the one, there must have been a few hundred Pompey in their from about 2, then the Oxford lads arrive at around 2:45 and all kicked off. Was that the game Maxwell was on the pitch appealing for calm?84. First home game of the season.
That was some of the most vicious fighting Iβve ever seen at football.
And Barker was probably MoM.Absolutely superb performance. Some thoughts:
- Agyei can play as a winger it seems . That cross was a beauty and great positioning from Sam Winnall, who also got properly involved today.
- Excellent from our full backs today. The team looks so much better with Long and Ruffels playing. Moore and Atkinson looked happier as a result. Pleased for Moore to score that goal and took it well. That header by Josh Ruffels for the 1st goal was perfection.
- The classy James Henry is back. Some of his crosses and passes were just superb.
- Mark Sykes of the 2nd half and to a lesser extent the 1st half, I want to see more of. His ball control is always generally pretty good but his end product needs to be more consistent. Chances like the 1st half one needs to be taken more often, but some of his runs in the 2nd half and little interchanges were just excellent and show what he can do.
- JS looked solid in what he had to do especially reacting to the deflected shot in the 2nd. Especially considering he didn't have a lot to actually do.
- Shodipo looks totally out of form. I reckon his shot at the end may have passed the International Space Station. I like that he kept trying though even when he was struggling to get involved and liked his closing down.
- Lee had some really good spells but also at times in the first 20 minutes slowed play down too much on the right when it really needed to be sped up. I wonder if occasionally him and Barker should switch wings in the game as Lee in the past has been effective on the left and cutting in. I would happily see us sign him permanently.
- Still not sure how Rob Atkinson getting rugby tackled in the penalty area wasn't a penalty. Also could have been a red card as it was a goal scoring opportunity with their player making no effort at going for the ball. Fortunately didn't matter.
- I think Beckles will be having nightmares about that game tonight.
- Artell is still an a**e.
Edit: Remiss of me not to mention Barker who was excellent. A very exciting player to watch when playing like that. I loved that he won the ball back for his goal and the strike was sweet as, beautifully going through Beckles legs.

Still got nothing on the 1893 club lounge when the biscuits run out.Yeah that's the one, there must have been a few hundred Pompey in their from about 2, then the Oxford lads arrive at around 2:45 and all kicked off. Was that the game Maxwell was on the pitch appealing for calm?
Millwall only had a fence separating fans in those days too so it was pretty up close and personal. Similar thing at Coventry. I remember a mid weeker there that we lost about 5-0. There was some s**t going through the fence that night. Very lively outside after too.....The 1-1? Was there for that and the second leg at their place.
Thinking back, dad wouldn't let me into the LRT, but was happy to take me away to Millwall in 83/84 which was bloody intense
