I would imagine the officials have his cards marked before.he leaves the dressing room. Ref. must do his homework before each match, ie those that might give him trouble. Possibly " reputation " goes before you, even in the lower divisions. It's a cross he has to bear unfortunately. How long would Norman Hunter, Billy Bremner. or Chopper Harris last in today's environment. Red cards dished out like confetti....add Briggs to that trio.
I agree, and with a hard-tackling player like Gorin it is an occupational hazard. Those bookings don't bother me too much - it is the ones where he makes a silly challenge in an area of the pitch where there is no danger, or bundles a player over somewhere out near the touchline. He has to learn to pick his battles IMO - especially because once he has been booked in a game he is then less effective for the rest of the match.

Hanson has played ok at RB for a while, I’d rather see him there than Forde.

If Gorrin is fully fit I’d play him but I don’t think he is. I thought Grayson was ok, I know I’m in the minority but I can only see what I see.

I’d like Agyei to play but Taylor will as he was rested. However this is my team that I’d play, not my predicted team, so...

Stevens
Hanson Moore Atkinson Ruffels
Grayson
LCP Brannigan
Forde Agyei Barker

Give Chambers-Parillion a go, why not. He can’t be any worse than Kelly...

The Hanson/Forde issue is quite simple. If you want a degree of defensive solidity, you choose Hanson but bearing in my the only safe pass he can make is to an unmarked Elliot Moore; if you want to have the occasional decent cross and move out of defence from the right-back position but with just negligible defensive security, then select Forde. If you want decent defensive capabilities combined with attacking nous, then wait for Sam Long to get fit.

If it wasn`t "free" (ST) I would happily wait to see the team sheet before toasting another £10.
As it is "free" I shall put myself through another mixture of joy, hair shirt and flagellation whilst observing this place either reflecting the joy or boiling over like an Icelandic volcano.

What time is kick off?

19.45pm - I think

I think this may be an evolutionary coping mechanism.

I was pissed off after Blackpool and thus didn't bother with the Npton game. I'm now quite looking forward to Lincoln.
I was pissed off after the Blackpool game, and I was pissed off after the Northampton game, and I’ve got a feeling I’ll be pissed off after the Lincoln game too!

But I’ll still be tuning in again anyway, weather it’s a home game, or paying for the away fixtures, because I’m a glutton for punishment!

What was the saying about doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results....

Quite.

The law of free stuff means you have to watch, there is no choice.

KO is 20:45.

All this talk of season over etc is far too premature..

There are another 9 or 10 game weeks to go and at least a dozen teams within a few points of a playoff spot, if not the autos.
WithIn each of those sets of matches, some will not go as expected, teams will lose to ones below them.
Teams will come into form, teams will drop out of form, and within every team players will be injured, players will return from injury

To pronounce that any individual team will or will not finish in the top 6 is little more than guesswork even at this stage, so even after two poor performances to write the season off remains premature

A glance at the league table right now, would arguable suggest that the current top six will be the final top six (points already scored, games in hand etc), but I would put money on the fact that they won't be. No idea who will and who won't or whether it will be us or any of the other half dozen chasing sides that will replace them, but suffice to say that there is a long way to go yet...

BBC site says it's 7.45 pm or 19:45 in your money.

Though arriving late or not at all is probably a prudent strategy for tonight I've just given the Evil Empire a tenner and got Now TV access. The law of dumb football supporters. AND I'm going to miss the start of Deutschand. Grrrr. We better win or there'll be ructions.

Yeah, I deliberately lied to try and prevent a fellow human from suffering.

Problem is that I fucked it up anyway in thinking that it was a 7PM Ko.

Last time I try and do a nice thing.

Can you not video Deutshchland?

I think Gorrin is fit its just he is playing so cautious because the potential suspension he is having absolutely no effect on the game.
Cut off for a 2 game ban is after tonight's match so he has 90mins to get through to avoid it.

Or it may be that we didn't want to lose him for 2 games in the middle of this hectic period of games hence why he was so cautious for the last 5 matches.

Can you not video Deutshchland?

I can go to All4 and watch it now, or tomorrow, or tomorrow's tomorrow. But I like to watch once while I'm in me cups and again to find out what happened. Plus, it's not so much fun shouting "Professor Tischbier!" if you're on your own, or sober.

The things I do for OUFC.

Can’t see beyond a narrow defeat here I am afraid.

Feel everything is against us tonight.... Sky, Appleton and our lack of potency up front.

Really hope to be pleasantly surprised, but I am not counting my chickens.

Feel like I'd be pleasantly surprised by a *narrow* defeat. But maybe the other Oxford will turn up. Lincoln City, who are they?

0-0 and I’ll have to switch off to avoid listening to KR in the post-match conference crowing about a good result and that we’re still close to the play-offs.

It really makes me laugh

People picking a team for these games

Because KR has playing some many people in different positions apart from
Stevens
Moore
Atkinson
Brannagan
Ruffels
Gorin
Taylor

No one has a clear mindset of what constitutes our best side

Forde
Hansen
Sykes
Barker
Agyei
Shrop

All named in and out and one of many positions

The failure of not playing a winning side consistently

Suspect Hall may even start !!!

Which side from our winning run would you play then?
