I like that Mousinho always tries to keep the ball without simply hoofing it up the pitch. However, he does hold on to it for too long far too often. Perhaps that’s partly due to a lack of options in front of him (a midfield two of Ledson and Ruffels doesn’t help), but it’d be much better for him to knock a ball in the channels than lose it deep into our own half, as he often does.

I think we’ve yet to see the absolute best of him, but hopefully we will once the likes of Brannagan and Pekalski come into the side.

Clearly a great performance and result. Did you go to Plymouth and Peterborough (and Pompey at home). Was it better than those prformances 'by miles'? If so it must be the best performance for years?

I was at those games.
I think the difference today was that we beat a team that are way better than those three when we played them.
Today was the first real “team “ performance since before our game at Fleetwood in November.
True we have won games since then, but we haven’t been good.

That was an all time classic today.

Pace, grit, no strikers on the pitch , very decent opposition, never say die attitude, energy, defensive mistakes, fabulous support.

It had the works.

We had to move after the first half though. A group of foul mouthed neanderthals mercilessly slagged Mousinho from the kick off, abused Kane for being a ‘f ....g prick’ for just slightly misplacing a pass, called Obika ‘a sick note c...t’ for getting injured all in the first’20 minutes.

Worst offender a guy in his twenties with a straggly beard just to the right of the goal.

Sir ... you are a disgrace.


Ledson and Napa were magnificent. Well done Kane for making amends for his howler.

Absolutely right. There are times to play with the ball and times just to play the ball. With the pace injection we now have on the flanks in Kane, ASB and IBR the center halves need to make a quick decision - can I pass to Ledson or co. ahead of me? If not bang it into the channels and let the wingers chase. It would be preferable to give it to a creative midfielder as they can make a calculated 15-20 yard pass to the flanks or forwards - but if it's a 50+ yard hoof that's required then do it...

Ill at home at mo but great to hear the new guys bedding in so quickly. We need the likes of Ryan Ledson all over the pitch.
Most of all congrats to our away fans who made it sound better than playing at the Kassam.

All available today Faz decided not too pick them. Mehmeti will be aling a little longer looking at injuries to strikers although i wouldn't start him over front 3 that finished the game. Just use him as impact sub.

When u see napa come on and play like that, I never want to see him sat on the bench watching Gino play again. Equally if Kane, Carroll, silva and smith-brown stay fit there no need for tiendalli to even grace the bench

I think that all three of them will play only bit parts and bench warming duties for the rest of the season, tissue paper strikers permitting. Tiendalli has improved (from appalling to not too bad) but GvK was best by far in his first game for us and Mehmeti is completely anonymous. They are the kind of players signed by a manger who is trying to be too clever for his own good and has no real idea what L1 is about. I am not holding my breath to see how well Pekalski does (if he ever actually gets on the pitch).

Tin man, GVK and Mehmeti are not worth of wages let alone anything else, as a preference I would like to see them loaned out for the rest of the season when the loan window opens. Then make a decision at the end of the season.

Can see Mehmeti and Tiendalli go the same way as Xemi and have their contracts mutually terminated. Not sure what the deal is with Gino as he's on loan and it's outside the window.

There is no loan window separate from the transfer window any more. That's it for the rest of the season (except if there is a free agent worth signing)
