Yea, same here, a pretty forgettable match i thought that had a few good moments.

Agree re Taylor, what a good player, his touch to get a ball under control is phenomenal !

Very pleased for Seddon, his best game for us, a goal, + assist and a hand in the other goal
will have done him the world of good.

Think Gorrin`s days as a starter might be in jeopardy, shame for him as he does what he does
so well, but Kane as a deep lying playmaker is another level.
I thought Kane was general poor. Lost the ball quite a few times, too slow to pass or move, kept trying spectacular passes but they failed

It wasn't his best game for us but he still provided energy for us and dictated the tempo at times. Wouldn't say he was poor but just not at his best. Taylor actually lost the ball more than Kane due to holding on too long, in the first half but he also did a lot of excellent stuff too.

Not at our best all game, nobody stood out for me as outstanding but winning when only playing at 80% is fine with me, that’s the mark of a TEAM performance and I will take that all Day.

Really? He has been excellent for us since coming here and he provides real energy, tempo and creativity to our midfield. Not at his best today but still did a lot of good things.
He was poor today.

McGuane was the one that gave the midfield energy when he came on.

I think I’ve only seen him in the last couple of home games, where he hasn’t particularly stood out. He’s had his best reviews for away games, I believe. Not knocking him!

McGuane is a powerful looking bloke for someone with good touch, vision and mobility, obviously ended up down here because of his injuries (that was the first time I have seen him the flesh) but you get the feeling that if we can get and keep him fit he is comfortably above this level.

He somehow just ‘looks’ like a brilliant player! And has been good in snatches, hopefully there’s a lot more to come.

Would we have had 8,500 without a price reduction? I’m all for getting big crowds in and if this was a normal week no half term and no price cut would we have had those figures?
Now we need to attract those who came with a reduced price to come back for the next home game, which is Tuesday night against Fleetwood probably not which considering Tuesday and the opposition but the following Saturday Rotherham it should be a big crowd but that will be because of the support they are likely to bring so if we have 9,000+ for that game then they’ve returned.

Don't want to use covid as an excuse BUT. Remember just before the pandemic hit we had 3 home games in a row with an over 10k crowd at each with a clever marketing promotion, we also were starting to take huge numbers to away games like the Shrewsbury game for instance. Obviously Covid derailed the push to get more fans in and its only just starting to recover from fans shielding themselves, a few not happy with the way handled the season ticket situation last season and also some fans having to find other work to survive so might not have the funds to attend. Look at the attendances in the championship, league one and two and its affected every club.

We can build a bigger fanbase but it's going to take time so stop being negative.

8500 at an unfinished , worst designed wind tunnel of a ground that is hard to get too unless you have access to a car or have all day to spare to use public transport! Have you forgot around 19 years ago under Kassams ownership we were struggling to get 5k home fans and didn't even bothering opening up the North stand for home fans for alot of it.

We obviously haven't progressed off the pitch with the new stadium etc but everything else has, the club is in a way better position then back in 2002/2003 and a new stadium will bring in even more of a following as long as its finished and the team are continuing to progress.
You’re wrong to say that it is the worst designed stadium. The design was for a 23,000 all seater with four stands and filled in corners with a supporters club. Also I think the north stand was always open in the Kassam, pre conference years. As you note it is the unfinished aspect which is the cause of the wind tunnel effect. 5K was often considered a good gate at the latter years at the Manor.

Maybe I worded that wrong. Worst designed stadium as it currently sits, we were promised a Ferrari and ended up with a Robin Reliant.

Fair enough, he wasnt quite at the races today but still did some good stuff.

Not sure how much of a thing this is or how much of it is over thinking but i have a
sneaking feeling that Gorrin and Kane on the pitch at the same time doesnt work and
wont work for the simple reason that when Kane drops deep to playmake we are a
man light up front. Last couple of games Gorrin has been getting forward a lot more,
( not a coincidence imo ) but still, its not his natural game and his best pass remains
sideways, so its difficult seeing where he fits in if Kane plays.
